Well, if you got into this team, at least the owner would know what he was talking about eh?

Valentino Rossi has launched a bid to become a team owner in the 2011 Moto2 world championship.

MCN understands Rossi will help fund the project with lifelong friend Uccio Salucci installed as boss of the Italian legend’s new Grand Prix venture.

A prominent source told MCN: “It looks like one very high profile MotoGP rider will have his own Moto2 team next season. Andrea Iannone will be one rider. He has interest from just about every team, but it looks like he will end up with Valentino.”

How many times on this forum have i stated i believed rossi would go into management or run a team when he retires
<
Nobody agreed with me so i think that gives me the right to say. I TOLD YOU SO
<
<
I didn't think he would do it before retirement though
<

Haha, not with me rog. I have been thinking along those lines too, if I had happened to read your post, I would have told you "you're not alone rog, i agree with you"

You cant tell me cause i called it also

I think Iannone will kick some ... next season......and Rossi will make sure he understands how to read his pitboard.

Intriguing, but I don't believe it. But it would be cool. Only thing, Uccio? Are you kidding me. It almost sounds like an April fools joke. But hey, he does have experience managing a weiner winner.

Why?, because im English so im a fan of Bradley, and Rossi is a fan of Bradley . . . . . . So, why not?

Personally I would think Smith would stay in the 125's at least one more year to try and win it. It seems as though he could do it but for some reason he just hasn't yet. I am not his biggest fan but he is good enough to do it I think.

Certainly would be a boss you'd listen to!!!

Big pressure on the pilot though......

just imagine what will happen if Iannone does well and moves up to motogp to be a serious title contender.....rossi-lorenzo all over again

i hope this is true,if something like that would be the result, that would be the perfect feud

Top stuff. I like Andrea, not sure about bradley though maybe another year in 125, but yeah to scott reading. Or Michael Howarth

It is a nice idea indeed had he consider retirement, but wouldn't all this distract his riding at Ducati?

I certainly hope Smith doesn't stay in 125. He may not have won the title but there isn't a whole lot of point sticking around just for that given his size and experience, i think he should move on.

I think Smith is overall a more complete rider than Redding

I was thinkin the exact same thing. Maybe he'll have like a kind of "behind the scenes" role until he retires.

Yeah Smith is too big for the 125 and he's getting bigger..that being said i think ALL the bikes are too ....... small.
