Are you making this up? or somebody else?
Even Rossi would not be dumb enough to be seen in a Yamaha shirt when under contract with Ducati
This report was debunked last night. However..... on the Soup site they had this to say:
Valentino Rossi's move to Yamaha in 2013 has evolved from a juicy rumor into a firm offer with an interesting wrinkle from the Crossed Tuning Forks, if Italian media reports are to be believed.
The Italian national sports paper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, reported Yamaha has offered seven-time MotoGP World Champion Rossi a two-year MotoGP contract, followed by a World Superbike ride in 2015.
Yamaha is said to be planning a return to World Superbike in 2014, and Rossi would serve a vital role in the technical development of the machine, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport report.
Now if Yamaha did the SBK thing, and everyone in the Rossi camp knows he will then go to rival series SBK, don't you think Ducati would have also offered the Doctor an SBK ride? I highly doubt that they would let that slip by without putting something together for him.

That crossed my mind. How about a Yamaha shirt whilst under contract to Suzuki? The most expensive T shirt that Sheene ever wore.
Sure. But what's yer point bro?
It turns out that the report of former 500 Grand Prix rider Niall MacKenzie suddenly running into Valentino Rossi at the reception hall of Yamaha Motor Europe's headquarters in the Netherlands was an elaborate hoax.
My point is that the story is making it seems like Yamaha made this offer with the SBK clause and THAT is this big kicker. I am just saying that IF Vale wanted to go to SBK at some point, Ducati would know that and most likely give him the same deal after GP. ANyone is going to give him a full factory SBK ride without question. Plus, just think of the factory replica bike and how fast they sell those out. So it isn't like Yamaha made this unique offer in my opinion.
Okay... I see what you're getting at. I don't think the offer of a superbike option would be a deal maker or breaker regardless of which company he decided to go with. Without that offer - Rossi would know that he could have a ride with any factory in WSBK he wanted to ride with. He's in demand and he knows it.
