I don't know. The Ducati engineers would be my guess. Either way, you seem to be missing the point - I'm not having a go at Rossi so keep your shirt on.

Burgess said all the Ducati riders bar Stoner were in the wrong position, and that it wouldn't take him more than 80 seconds to fix.

np i was just posting some tweet stuff

Thanks for MH link! He's killer, really outstanding stuff in a field of outstanding photographers.

From twitter:

Hayden spending a lot of time on the new screamer, Rossi sticking with the 2011 big bang so far. Plenty of time left, though.

Far, far too early to say. ROS does not seem to like the screamer, but he has a lot of work to do.

Right now, ROS is 13th, and still testing the big bang engine.

Come on Vale man up and use the screamer, best sounding bike engine ever according to Hayden.

Valentino Rossi has spent nearly all day on the 2011 big bang bike, with Nicky Hayden testing the screamer extensively.

Day 2 Test

Again top of the timesheet by 1pm local time as he was by the close of the first day Jorge Lorenzo led the pace, setting a best time of 1’32.179 as he continued to test both the new M1 and an updated 2010 version. His new factory Yamaha team-mate Ben Spies was just 0.143s further back and was the most prolific rider of the first half of the day, putting in a substantial 49 laps by the same stage.

Spies is gonna take it to JL 2011.. gonna make JL look like a fool next season..then when the 1000s come..the premier class Championship will be coming home to Texas.

4. is faster than horhey who is WC who is essentially on the same bike

You are absolutely right bro!

Now here is some more speculation on my part.

It’s too bad we can take very little from this first test. I was thinking about this on my way to work and thought, man, these guys are given so little time to work out the machine issues. It reminds me of those ridiculous reality shows where they make the contestants do some stupid challenge that is very unrelated to their craft. I'm first impressed that they actually get anything done in such little time. Seriously, the manufactures come out with multimillion dollar variations and then say, here, tell us what you think, but do it quickly, you have 20 laps to decided, even though our engineering department just spend 6 months thinking about it. Oh, and while you are figuring out what best engine to use, try to pay attention to what the forks are doing, because we have three sets, and even though each has been created by the finest materials and engineers second only to Nasa, we want you to tell us the nuances of each. Try not to let the damp track and wind gust distract you.

Anyway, I'm still impressed by Stoner. Though as I said, these lap times are of little consequence. I'm just wildly speculating in comparison to the other Honda riders. Again, Honda seem to be rather secure in which way they are going and what they brought to the table, where as Ducati is in starting from scratch mode. I don't doubt come the last test of the season that you will see Rossi in the top three. BTW, Mr. Shupe, I know you were exaggerating, but Rossi is not 10x the rider of anybody, certainly not Nicky. Better, yes, but not even twice as good.
<

for rossi to b sucessful, there needs to be a radical change with the duc. i cant see rossi going well, the current way the ducati behaves.

, rossi has always liked his bikes to be smooth, yamaha got the bike so smooth in 2010 that it suited horhey even more.

unless it changes in a big way i see hayden and i think in particular randy outpacing rossi

Stoner has been the fastest man for about four years running (at some point during the season). Being fast on the Honda will not be the problem, most predicted that, the issue is staying on the bike. Stoner was plenty fast this year, but he had 5 self inflicted DNFs. Of what use is it to be fast if you can't win a title? Notice that the most consistent finisher the last 5 years has won the title. Lorenzo was plenty fast last year and the year he entered the series, but crashing was his demise. Its not a question of Stoner's talent that is the big unknown, its whether he will keep his bike upright. When you consider this fact, then in a way, being the fastest means very little.

Because he cruised this year right?

No because he'll have more than ONE dude to complain about passing him on the inside next year

The LIVE FEED from the site was only for yesterday...only thing we get of the rest of the test is clips, reports, and that lame lap timer at the home page.
