From what you say it seems we have a rider superior to all others. I disagree. I have said it before, I can repeat it here: Lorenzo is not a superior rider to Stoner or Rossi (or even Pedrosa). All is good and he's deserved his title, but declaring him the best is stretching reality. He has had his perfect year, like Stoner in 2007 -- that's all.
<

So if we got a bunch of tracks all over the world, and they all raced ........ gee I wonder who'd win
<
Lorenzo thats who ..... the best rider in the world
<

Criville was the best rider in the world in 99 also
<

come talk to us AFTER JL gets his 47th win and 4th Championship on the Yam

<

Who didnt see that coming. As someone said before, come talk to us after Rossi breaks all of Agostini's records, then we can start including him in the conversation of great riders
<

Exactly
<

He was on Sunday, and overall this season he was by quite some way. We all saw it.

We all see it different of course, that's why a forum is an interesting place.
<

On Sunday you saw a rider superior to all others, that's great -- it's your legitimate vision.

I saw a battle among 4 top riders, 2 of whom had physical problems, one of whom had chosen the wrong tire after dominating practice, and finally one who was technically and physically at 100% -- this last won, mostly thanks to the others' problems, but not without risking very closely to bin it after a dangerous (for him and others) riding mistake.

It's something that makes one meditate on the flimsy nature of motorcycle racing fortunes. It was such a close call. One hair's difference, and Lorenzo wouldn't have won the race, he wouldn't have broken the points record, and would have been lucky to escape unhurt. I know he won the championship and of course who wins is always right, but I would wait at least the end of 2011, before declaring his superiority.

Yes thanks for pointing out that JL has a massive 1 championship..come talk when Lorenzo beats both Rossi and Ago's records http://www.powerslide.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif

No surprise, we know that some always jump on the wagon of whoever happens to beat a certain Valentino Rossi. So far, they had to change their champion regularly...
<

And when the chosen hero fails to beat the hated Rossi the next year, then they'll declare him a finished rider and a ..... (as we've seen with Stoner).

Rossi posted 2 of his 4 fastest laps, AFTER Lorenzo made up 7/10ths on him , made the pass and he and Stoner started to get away. When exactly did his shoulder start hindering his times

So as predicted we watched the same race, but what you 'saw' was a reason to think of as many ways you can to justify the rider you like being bettered and a rider you don't like being the best. Look at your 'explanation', its a joke. Every rider from 2nd to last will have had either something physically or technically wrong, or a mistake on the part of them or their team. That is how losing works. All your post says is that of all the people who didn't win, none of them won. Great job J4rno.

Yes thanks for pointing out that JL has a massive 1 championship..

how many championships did Rossi get this year? Or how many wins? Do you know since Rossi and Lorenzo have had equal equipment Jorge has scored more points and won more races.

THIS year... yes indeed making him the best rider EVER to grace the Moto GP paddock.

Rather than .... talking rossi, why don't you talk about Haydens race. After all you are 'supposed' to be a fan
<
For you to .... talk rossi for finishing 3rd when your boy ended up throwing his arms about like a spoiled child after not even completing the race is laughable in an irritating way.

You just a 1 trick pony pov

In that case, Nicky Hayden was the best. He just suffered from technical problems.
<
BTW, what riders are not riding hurt? The difference is some are just not broadcasting depending on their results.

Maybe Loris was the best rider, who simply suffered the most technical problems and injuries.

That is with last year too. I never even suggested Lorenzo was the best rider to ever grace the motogp paddock, he is obviously a long way from a record like that.

actually rossi has not broadcast his injurys, thats more the media saying his shoulder must be hurting. In fact the only outward sign he showed he was hurting was when he won at motegi. He was sat in parc ferme with his leathers un-done having an ice-pack put on him. The pain on his face was clear.
