Oh and once u realized ur mistake u tried to say, yeah i meant it another way. Omg, dude please stop, my sides are hurting from laughing. Awe man, this forum is freaking hilarious. God i love this place.

Glad to entertain you mate, but really, you didn't get it, I have spent much time here watching you and Austin, Hayden Buds, do your thing.......I think you just put the joke solidly on yourself and Supershit was actually right....you have lost out big time here.

BTW Nicky's effort on the weekend was the best I've seen from him, I for one am very happy that his persistence has paid off, silencing the doubters is always great to see, especially when the rider works as hard as NH to tame the bike that 'only one man can ride'

Spies is looking very ominous too, we may hear that Star Spangled Banner a few times next year...bring on the 5-way!!

Interesting article about the Stoner crash - but more interesting is the Hayden variant on the sighting lap procedure.

That hayden procedure were strange. I can't see much advantage in heating a tire for only one lap 30 min before start. The tire warmers should do the job just as good. But what ever works for him...
Stoner's approach does hold an advantage but there is a reason why not everyone does the same thing. It's not like he invented something new, it has been tested and eventually it failed for others as well.

A warm tire is one thing. A lightly scrubbed in tire is another.

As to Stoner's approach - well... what works in chassis set-up, TC or tire
choice is never universal to all riders; so we have to assume the same
for warm-up lap procedure. Events leading up to Stoners warm-up lap
crash at Valencia might go aways towards explaining how he so
unexpectedly lost it early in race at Brno last year. When it comes
to set-up all riders take calculated risks at every race. Some pan out
better than others. The fact that the Ducati is by all accounts an
unpredictable bike - must no doubt to some degree make the odds
less favorable to Stoner when he's calculating those risks.

Talps, I did get it, and you got suckered (man up and say you got caught out and laugh about it).

I'm not sure what all the fuss is anyway. Rossi is the champ, he earned it. I'm just pointing out that he did it in a manner including elements that other champs have done so. V has made the best counter argument that he was fast, ok, I accept (numbers don't lie)

. Its a small difference of opinion that you and other boppers gets wound up about, but really no need.

As far as the other elements of winning his title, there is no shame in them, so why don't you guys simply accept them rather than attempt to debate reality? Now he has made some comments lately that by anybody's standards (except the boppers) are unsportsman like. I said it was unfortunate because it has overshadowed (at very least cast a sour light) upon his title. Geez man, the guy said this before the last race. You guys want to say its ok because "he" (Rossi) developed the bike, that isn't even entirely true (and this still is NOT justification for his latest dastard demands). So I don't understand why he would demand this, I think its unbecoming of a champion. But that's his prerogative, that doesn't negate him earning the title, but I would however like to see some of you guys who have been so critical of other rider's comments and actions treat Rossi with the same measuring stick. You gotta take the good with the bad. You guys just don't recognize any bad as a possibility, as if the man is infallible. Those of us who point it out...well we're just hating right? Rossi is awesome, we all know this, despite having a great package, I know the bike doesn't ride itself. The thing that you and other boppers keep getting insnared with are all the arguments you boys had previously made to 'rationalize' other champs as less worthy. Now that I point out it applies to Rossi too. You guys try and debate it, and that were the donuts start, circles and circles.

That's very interesting. Like all strategies, some have risk and payoff. It has up until Valencia served Stoner well. I think it was a perfect storm of events that made for that crash: windy conditions decreasing the allowance of any anomaly in throttle/traction coupled with a mistake by Casey.

Hayden's strategy does seem a bit odd to me though. I wonder who else on the grid might have a similar strategy?

Hayden (and other Duc riders as well) have voice complaints about
lack of feel or feedback. Having a tire pre-scrubbed with one extra
lap at a leisurely pace may make very little "practical difference".
But it may make Hayden feel a smidge more confident in that
brief span of time between when the starting light goes out and
when they're all converging on turn one. Could be that the first
time he tried this protocol - he got a good result and racers being
a superstition lot - he continues to do it because it feels right;
that being something you can't measure with telemetry.

Everyone has a good take on this. And it for sure has its benefits to do what cs does on the warm-up, and it finally bit him in the .... I have been irritated by casey doing this since I first took notice of him doing it. Its one of the things that led to me not being much a fan, if you will.

Heres my take on why: Who wouldn't want to be the last one to warm there tires up? Not only that but doing it with out the worry of other riders because you, from pole, stuck your frail little hand up and let everyone through. Now you run it of the back not having to worry about other riders unlike everyone else. Thats just disrespectful to the rest of the field. They all would love to be the last one to line up, but they all realize they are not anymore special than any other person on the grid. Even the GOAT get this. And just like his fans he is living in a dream world where the world revolves around him. And Adriana is his moon, a lovely moon no doubt.

Thanks for referencing the positives in most post........try to see the light every now and then Jum

Anyway, I have yet to really comment on the whole Yamaha/VR/JL thing, suffice to say its not pretty for VR, Yamaha and Fiat. Whatever is going on there does not auger well and they may want to be careful to not get caught up in it too much more as Spies is coming and the others are as strong as ever.

HRC has suffered a similar fate.....whatever Rossi's reasons it seems he has something in mind whether it be retirement, new manufacturer, adding to the drama-all speculation. MD did the same thing and I certainly don't ridicule him for it but as his character is so different to VR's its what we expected, however, bear in mind VR has already done this to HRC so its nothing new....

For me, its not a good thing and one of the few flaws VR has displayed publicly, having said that I can understand the reasoning especially in the heat of a close champ fight and the history with Yamaha, other riders certainly have displayed much worse behaviour in the midst of battle (Post Laguna 08 comes to mind) This doesn't excuse it though, what makes it all the more interesting is VR's outstanding PR record, all very orchestrated. It will all come out in the wash eventually....

Talpa the things really annoys me here is that all these people here are very quick to jump one thing in that interview but ignored all other positive things he said about yamaha, he even said that he feels that he will unfaithfull to yamaha if he moves to any other team.

In my opinion the reason he don't want Lorenzo to be his team mate because he is demanding his input in developing the bike aswell and that bit Rossi don't want to happen and as far as some people here suggesting that he is afraid of competition from his team mate all i can say they haven't followed Rossi carrer with great intrest. The man loves compitition and close racing and this year was no different.
Personelly i feel there was no need for such a comment at this stage and really don;t agree what he said.

Yes, I agree. Thing is people did this about other riders as well. This is why I proposed we measure Rossi by the same measuring stick. As Talpa pointed out, after the Laguna race 08, man a Rossi fan were critical of Stoner's post race comments. But the man also said many positives as well, yet only one thing was jumped on. Here is another example inam, do you remember the criticism that Stoner got when he merely shook his head at Meladri's lap times (because many assumed his gesture was condescending? The man didn't even say a word, just a gesture, and you would have thought he killed Melandri the way Casey was criticized. Now Rossi is public about asking his employer to get rid of his coworker? Wow, on what grounds, was there some breach, would be my first question? (rather than what we see from J4rno, skipping the obvious and going alone with his outrageous demand). So I figure what is good for the goose...etc. ya get me?

Anyway, this is not the first time he has said this about wanting Yamaha to get rid of Lorenzo. Frankly, this seems something that should have been kept internally. Going public sends a terrible message of unsportmanship. Yamaha signed Lorenzo while Rossi said he should go to Honda or Ducati, they signed him anyway. Now they are both signed, so why say they have to "choose" between them, if they are already under fresh contract?

Nah seriously, I just want people to acknowledge the good and the bad with the same measure as they critic other riders. Rossi is undoubtedly the le creme of the sport, but I know he's a man too. All riders have said and done some ill advised things. I noticed he toned it down in another interview. Perhaps he realized his mistake. If so, its a good sign.
