Poor Toseland. He was really upset when Perry interviewed him. At least he tried and got to race in MotoGP, which is more than a lot of riders will get the chance to do. He can look back one day and say he did it.

Yes i felt the same for him, I really hoped that he finish his year on a good result and memory.'But also nice done by his team, when he came back to pit, they all aplouded him, but James was very sad, no doubt about that.

If he had finished in top 8 he could be a little happy to say goodbye to all the problems he had this year.

but I will look to him how he will get back to his best in superbike.

Not really into the whole macho stomp on people when they're down thing,
but I gotta say, every time I've seen Toesland being interviewed - even
at the top of his game, when he's been elated, there's always been this
kind of faraway look of weepiness in his demeanor, like he was a tragically
ill-fated character who knew his destiny was to be shuttled off back to
WSBK after two relatively fruitless years in MGP.

the things i liked in this race were,

1, Spies, the guy came along and kicked ... like he has been a regular racer of MotoGP.
and the way he overtakes looks like Vale but in a cool and calm body. He certainly deserve to get in motogp and i,m sure he,ll be the best rookie and will surely scores a few podiums.

2. Edwards, was this year very consistent and achived a lot, even if he didn't score any podium, but he did a lot better than his last years, he was in every race focused on finishing as high as possible. and he finished the season in front of Haden and Dovisiozo.

3. Poor Casey couldn't finished his season on a high, and he lost his 3th place also to Pedrossa.but about his accident as much as it looked a stupid mistake, but it can happen for everyone.

4. congratulations to Dani Pedrosa for wining an easy race, and finishing this season on a high.

5. Rossi who lookd in trouble yesterday, could save the day, and finish his last race of the year on podium and more important in front of Lorenzo his championship contender.

6. Lorenzo who yesteday was fighting for the pole position, at once today couldn't find his favorite setup, and couldn't find a chance for fighting for the race win, but anyway he also finished his season finally on the 2nd spot and on the 3th place of the podium and that was a really good result for a nice winter rest and sleep. He will be even more dangerous next year, and the question is will Rossi be able to fight and beat him again next year?

7. Hayden who had started his season like all the latest Ducati riders before him, could find something to change his fortune and that was nice as he finished 2wice on the podium and, and alsotoday could close his season with a 5th place and that was very good for him.

8. Dovi was a disaster in the last quart of this championship, and especially today, while i thought he could beat Dani on Honda, he hasn't shown a good and solide form yet, and he lost the 5th place of the championship by 1 point, that shows the beter consistancy of Edwards.

the winter will be long without any races.

Yep, that was sad, he obviously wants to stay in MOTO GP.

Good luck for next season James.

It's nice to see...in Spies' post race interview...how well he has his head screwed on. Being mindful of championship fights going on around him...keeping it clean for them and helping Colin as he could...and trying to not do anything stupid while he figured things out. And at the end of the day still finishing in the top 10. Bravo!

It never gets old.

The race itself was boring but there were some individual stories that were interesting. Pedrosa gets another holeshot (situation normal) and checks out. Rossi and Burgess find a magic setting in the WUP. Edwards gets his fifth in the championship. Spies makes a meal of it in the opening five laps trying to adjust to tires and not ruin any regulars' day, then puts in laps that would put him in the thick of it with Edwards and Hayden. Solid stuff.

Poor guy. With 3 misses he was still capable of getting podium. I guess Dani's mamma has been praying all season for her little boy.

I kinda noticed that when he first rode for GSE - just the way he is I guess. I never saw him look as bad as today though, except maybe after Donington last year.

I know that I might just be alone in this, but just the same let me say

Hooray for the Pedrobot! does a happy dance

A win in his hometurf and 3rd in the standings. I guess he won't be coming back to #26 just yet.
<

That's the happiest I've seen him this season. I just hope and pray he stays healthy for next season.

I did feel for CS though. That warm up crash was a monumental bitchslap. Still, it's no cause for him to be shameful, because he's had a decent season in spite of that and the illness.

So long, Toseland.

Go kick ... in the Superbikes.

Man, if you knew what this guy went through in his life you'd understand why he has that 'sadness' in him.

As for the new pretty boy in town, he ain't half bad, isn't he?

Poor old JT has to go back to SBK...WSBK is more fun, that's why Max would not come back to GPIf JT can win WSBK championship on Yamaha next year or 2011, he may be back in GP in 2012 on a factory bike...

Okee,

So bunyip looks like you're wrong again.....on two counts, I just watched vr celebrate yet another podium, still think he won't celebrate anything again?

And of course, in order to be the fastest rider in motogp racing, one must first know how to complete the warm up lap!!!!!

The latter was much more entertaining.....

Well done Nicky - great effort
spies- amazing

and Colin well deserved 5th spot in the champ

otherwise another fairly boring 800 cc race

I don't feel sorry for him in the least. He's getting promoted from an uncompetitive team in a somewhat troubled series to a popular series with the reigning world superbike team. He's going to be chasing Bayliss' record next year and, if he's successful, he will have won for 3 different manufacturers.

I have no idea why he's whimpering on TV like his life is coming to an end. He's still going to be a signed with Yamaha's factory racing effort, and they can promote him back to MotoGP in 2012 just as easily as they demoted him. Toseland will probably run at the front next season so I imagine his paychecks will go up as well.

Boo hoo. If he's rides well in WSBK and MotoGP moves back to 1000cc, I believe Toseland will be back. He'll get a cush development job with someone.

are you guys serious about Toseland, you realy think he will come back to moto gp? haha not a chance in hell of him getting a decent ride and no way would he take a bad ride like suzuki.
no-one will want Toseland, he's had plenty chances to impress, he has always blamed his pre-season crashes and not adapted to Bridgestones due to lack of test time, funny how spies smoked him after only 3 hours on the bike. sorry, i did like Toseland but he's just an average rider and im fed up of his excuses & whinining, he's such a victim and oh well i shouda done better, next time i will attitude. he will probably still win WSBK, but there are no really good riders there to beat, unless jonny rai raises his game and Haga stays on the bike all season. But neither of those guys are good enough for moto gp either.

it was interesting listening to spies interview, it seems like he looks at the top 4 as aliens the same way we do, he said something like "the people watching this have no idea just how fast the top 4 guys here are"
