I'm impressed, I thought big H would be miles ahead!
And, what about doubting Rossi's motovation for next year, as some have, looks like he's mad!

Soup is reporting the 1min 32.7 was on the 2006 bike. I think he [Rossi] was still the fastest on the 800s with a 1.33.00. Maybe someone can confirm from another source. Wasn't this Haydens first test on the 800 as his previous test was rained out? I think it won't be until they test at a track that's not so tight that we will see any big difference in times from the 990s. The new 800's do look bad-...!

Chris, show them "Good rookies" who's boss

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (skidmark @ Nov 2 2006, 12:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>kawasaki, when do we get to see it I wonder?

Sepang I'd say - when they've built the thing!! No wonder Shinya left...........

I wonder Ben, the PR guys at team green have been very quiet of late. I think if we were going to see it at the next test we'd have heard a fanfare about it and how it's been worth waiting for. But I haven't been able to find a single piece of info about it from Kawasaki. Seems strange to me. You heard anything different?

Skid - I've sent the press office an email to see what the scoop is.........doubt I'll hear anything exclusive mind! - but the squeaky wheel gets the grease

4 minutes later.......just got thsi emailed

The 800cc machine ran for the first time at Autopolis two weeks ago, with Naoki Matsudo on board. The results from this first test were positive, with the bike completing more than 350km first time out.

Matsudo and Olivier Jacque will test the bike again at Sepang on 15,16,17 November, and I'm sure there will be images from this test - although Kawasaki won't have a photographer there.

Randy de Puniet and Olivier Jacque will test the new 800cc machine in Sepang at the end of November, just before the annual test ban.

I wonder if a few guys in Japan are right now hurriedly translating our posts

Like your style mate.

Who said big guys (Rossi/Hayden) would struggle on an 800?
<

This proves the bad thinking behind the 800cc rule, they are already lapping as fast as 990's, bearing in mind this is just one circuit.

It was written somewhere (I'll try and get it) that Colin wa sent home because there is only ONE bike in existance of the Yammie 800, so Rossi got the 1st test, and rightly so!

Ah I see, I hope Colin finally gets some decent luck in 07', he only got a one year contract extension from Yamaha which I think he was pretty lucky getting considering he hasn't been up too much; but if he gets some solid testing in pre-season, I don't see why he couldn't be a title contender if he could find some pace.

Wasn't this bike supposed to make Dani dominant?

Mind you, he's faster than Hayden, that being said, it's Haydens firsts go!

It's smaller, so it's more compact with Dani's size, but it's still the same weight as the 990.
