Is anyone going, or has gone to Valencia before.

I'm about to book my tickets but can't find out whether the ticket includes camping or even whether camping facilities are available.
Can anyone advise on this please.

Also, is it easy to get in and out of Valencia city from the circuit both each evening (if we wanna go out, get food, or find accommodation if camping isn't an option) and also when the race has finished.

Thanks in advance

Mark

I've merged your topic with another similar one - so hopefully you will get the answers you need better, and anyone else that is going.

Our resident Spaniard Teo is going and has helped provide advice before (theres a link above that Marijke posted).

Maybe you guys can meet up....seems like theres a few folk on here that going - you lucky people!!!!!!!!

Topic pinned till Valencia.

Ben.

sounds like we both have the same worrys and questions. where are you flying from and what time are you due in valencia airport. im shedualed to land at 10.50 am on the 28th, it would be cool to meet others. roger

I went last year & it's a great place, taxi from the airport is around 20 euro & there are plenty of hotels & hostels(great fun & I'm staying in one) try searching for hostels valencia, camping valencia etc and clicky for more info , if you want more info from me ask away

The circuit is about 15km away from Valencia city.

The airport is close to the track (about 10 km), on normal-traffic circumstances it should take you 10 min to drive to the track 30min to Valencia centre. From Valencia centre it takes about 30 min to drive to the circuit, the race day, there WILL BE traffic jams, it could take over an hour to reach the circuit by car BE WARNED!

As far as I know tickets don't include camping.

A few small camping sites are around the track and in the town closest to the track (Cheste about 2 km) many locals rent rooms in their houses for the weekend. But there's really no facilities (hotels, restaurants, bars)
adjacent to the circuit.
I guess you can find accomodation easily in Valencia, it's a big city.

It shouldn't be too cold during the night in October (around 10ºC to 15ºC) But the noise of the party, the fireworks and the bikes revving up with no silencer will probably make sleeping harder than the cold.

There's a train station right by the track, so you can take the train from Valencia (centre) to the circuit directly, I've always gone by car (I don't live in the city) but many people go by train, it's probably the fastest way to go to the circuit.

I forgot to say about Cheste...DO NOT MISS great street parties on the gp weekend, I'll be there for sure!

make sure you don't take a wrong turn at ALBUQUERQUE!!!
<

sounds great, i'll go some day...when i move to SPAIN i guess.

Hi chaps

Well that’s all really useful.

Roger I'm getting in at 10:40 on Thursday. Let me know if you fancy meeting up.

I reckon get to the track by train from Valencia in the day, party in Cheste at night, then train back to Valencia for a couple of hours keep, then just do it all again.

I'm counting the hours
