Hi guys!

I'm new here, I have joined to hopefully get some advice ;) Not sure if this is in the right section, apologies if not!

I am thinking of going to the Valencia GP in November and am looking for some tips off others that have been. I've done Silverstone many times F1 & Moto GP and am now a bit out of my comfort zone not knowing the best places to go.

Where should we stay? Hotel, camp (not ideal as we don't want to fly over with tents etc), how is the best way to get to the circuit every day? The nearer the better.

Which is the best grandstand? They look a fair way from the track but show a lot of the circuit!? I prefer corners to the start finish straight.

Any tips would be great!
Thanks guys :D

I would recommend the yellow grandstands, which is where I sat last year. Yellow spreads from first to second corner. The lower the section number the closer it is located to the first corner, where you can look 'into' the start-finish straight. Plus, yellow grandstand located pretty close to the main entrance gates and moto parking lot, as well as merchandise stuff. --- For getting to the track and back I can only recommend renting a 125cc scooter/motorbike. The traffic jam on the highway on race weekend is insane, with some sort of a moto you can just ride circles around stuck cages. Renting a scooter was around 70 euros for four days, but you need to compare the offers. also a great way of getting around in Valencia. --- Staying: Get yourself a nice hotel in the old town. Can be had from around 20 euros per person and night. Valencia old town is just pretty, and it is bustling at night on race weekend. loved it. I just passed by the camping area near the circuit, and it didn't look attractive. it's isolated and there is nothing you can do, while Valencia is a nice place to be and just 30 minutes or so from the circuit (by moto, that is). Hope I could help you.

Thanks!

Have booked a hotel in the city. Apparently you can get the train to the circuit? So think we might do that! Got tickets in the blue grandstand.. Hope they are ok!

Hi ENNA,

Could you please share with us where do you booked a hotel? I'm trying to find a cheaper hotel in Valencia in that period and all of them are full :(

I will be there as well.
In the past I stayed at the EXPO hotel in Valencia.
Great location, subway line just outside the hotel door,.
On the subway, 6 stops later and you are about 400 yards from the train, then it's the 4th stop on the train for the circuit.
A short walk to the circuit.

I would suggest you buy tickets to the Riders for Health event on Thursday as it let's you in the paddock thursday.
