Hi, i'm off to valencia to watch the MOTO GP this november and wanted some advice on viewing arrangements and rules on taking alcohol into the circuit. I have general admission tickets. We are renting a villa not too far from the circuit, about 10 mins away driving. Do they sell drinks in the circuit or are you permitted to take your own drink in ? Thanks in advance Paul.

you can not take cans of drink or glass bottles in. I believe you can take your own beer in if its in plastic bottles. They do sell beer inside.
There a good atmosphere on the hill but you are quite far from the track to see in any great detail. The track is completely surrounded by grandstands.

He Rog, tell us that story again about the time they wouldn't let you bring in beers, so you chugged them all in their face. Hahaha

yup, there was a marque right by the entrance to the circuit that sold food and beers. the gate staff were watching peeps buy beer only to refuse you entry with it. they had quite a stack they were keeping for themselves. obviously i didnt know this at the time of buying my beer.

on showing my ticket the ...... said "hand over the cans of beer" i asked why and he said cans were forbidden. he pointed to his stack and smiled. he said put them in the skip or give them to me. it was 8.00am i looked im square in the eye ,told him to .... himself and drank the lot in front of him. i had 16 cans, the misses downed a few like a trooper
<
while i was busy drinking for england some chap tapped me on the shoulder and said "i only need one guess were your from"
<
<

i didnt really like valencia to be honest, the police walk about looking like storm trooper's looking for trouble, the traffic was even worse than donny (yeah seriously) and the que's for food beer ect were long enough to make you give up. best circuit ive ever been to was laguna

Hi Paul and welcome,

We went last year and as far as i remember its a dry track. you cant buy booze in there. The hill is good as it only requires a general ticket. there is a large viewing screen there as well.

you are a bit far from the actual track though. The only problem we found is that the grandstands are all penned in so you cant walk around. Parking is a nightmare. Dont bother. if you park in the industrial estate not far from the track on the hill there is a free park and ride, there and back operating all day. Just get there early.

Whatever you do dont forget to visit cheste on the friday night. the town is closed to all car traffic and the bike party is sooooo coooool. Again the bus from the industrial estate will take you there and back all night for about a euro. Park in the estate early on fri morning and get the bus to the track. end of the day get the bus back and then straight into cheste without re parking.

all the locals smuggle beer in strapped to their backs on cardboard. its so cool to see
lucky ....... for going

good luck and enjoy

I love that story! I would have paid good money to see that loser's face when you walked past him with a belly full of beer.

As others have pointed out before it's forbidden to bring glass or metal bottles/cans inside sport arenas in all the country. In some places they might be specially annoying and don't let you bring in the lid of the bottle, in that case just take it off before the control point and keep it in your pocket till you've passed the control point.

You can buy beer inside the circuit, but it's not cheap.

Hey,
I'll be there too.
We have tickets in the Tribune Boxes (I think it's above the garages)
Would be nice to have a Powerslide meet up.

My first time too, but Can't wait.
Arriving on Nov 4th and leaving on the 10th.
Staying in Valencia.

Don't forget, there is 2 days of practice/testing at the track. Nov 10/11
Damn, I booked everything before finding out.
