So Dovi cuts in front of Bautista, touching his front tyre, cuasing 4 riders to crash and still allowed to continue to 3rd? So much for politics LOL. Why dont they equipe all the Repsol riders with machine guns in the front or with oil dumping trick in the back?

If Rossi pulled this stunt, he would have been flamed for ever on this forum. And Simoncheli RIP was forced to go through pit for less than this.

Not wrong there

However

Things like this happen, it wasnt a callous move he was well in front, just unlucky and in close quarters it magnified the incident, abraham hit cal both continued at least till abraham hit the astro turf.

Hopefully race direction will indeed keep there noses out more in future!

I don't think Dovi is to blame here at all. He was ahead and on the inside of Alvaro, who looked to me to be peeling in pretty early on a diagonal. Clearly a bit of turn one squeeze going on but if anyone made an error it was Bautista in my opinion. Still a real shame for everyone involved as i think all would have been interesting and exciting to watch in those conditions. Any one of them could have been on the podium.

Well, once again I found myself turning off the Motogp race this season after 3 laps, thank god its over, thank god the 800's are over-it seems as though the weather semi-saved the race but I still have no inkling to watch the recording. This has been undoubtedly the worst season in my living memory littered with boredom, tragedy, horrendous injury and inconsistent adjudication-one now, with recent events and hindsight only needs to look back at the punching and fist waving/baulking Stoner tantrums for prime examples of the latter.

It really is farcical, when removing 4 bikes in the first corner, what is left for spectators? And to mention again the politics, a closer look at the Le Mans incident and the subsequent vilification of Sic, Dovi's move yesterday was mind numbingly stupid, and Alvaro didn't help either yet nothing was done-how anyone wasn't hurt is beyond me.

Motogp has lost a lot this year, bleeding uncontrollably from most of it's self-inflicted wounds-and i don't see it recovering any time soon.

Well then, you missed one of the best finishes of the entire season. And one of the best performances by the three podium finishers I've seen this year. Not to mention a great battle for rookie of the year. And a stellar performance by the best wild card entry we've seen in years. Not to mention the culmination of a finish to a great GP career spanning 22 seasons by Loris who crossed the line with the 58 number plate on his bike.

I was gutted to see Nicky, my favorite rider go down. It was terrible for me, but I watched on, and was rewarded.

Baustista went in too hot and caused the contact.

You missed out on some great racing mate. The last 6 laps were epic !

Have watched the replays several times and from different angles. Sorry...Dovi no way caused that accident. The first reaction of the ITALIAN commentators was oooh bad Dovi..look what he's done. But ten seconds later the replays started from all available angles and they all took it back. Alvaro's mistake. Which he did admit and apologise for to all the riders he took out before then somehow deciding to point a finger at Dovi. Weird that. Meh...

Have to say its odds on cal will be going after next season unless he has a stella performance with the new thous as Brad wil be in that team in 2013.

Or should that be regardless of performance next year?

Well doner casey but would have liked to have seen spies take the win, but regardless of dovi and bautistas coming together it was a great race to watch especially the early fight between dovi and dani, who seems to not be able to run the full race at 100% unless out the front.

We can only speculate at what rossi, hayden and de puniet would have done!

Bring on the 1000's

Nice to see al the tributes to marco and the respect shown by all, but nowt more moving than seeing Faust Gresini in tears after Pirro won in moto2!

Dude!!! No spoilers from other races. I and a lot of other folks have not watched the Moto 2 race yet.

Exactly!

Dovi went in to hard trying to get in front. He had to move over in front of Alviro to get his line, trouble was there was no room. He cut accross Alviro leaving him knowhere to go. Alviro had to brake so hard his rear wheel came about 12 inches of the ground. Dovi was not past Alviro when he pulled accross, infact it looked like there was contact. To say Alviro went in to hot when he was passed or almost past by dovi and not lay blame there is contradictory.

I defer my reply to BikerGirl. Argue with her.

I totally agree, it reminds me of F1 some 3-4 years ago.

As for today's race well, watching 3 Honda's pulling 30 meters out of the last corner each and every lap isn't for me.

Only Spies able to hold on due to some serious late breaking in virtually every corner, and then to be ..... slapped across the line.

Welcome to the Motogp- aka the Honda show....

Since I like Bautista a lot more, I'm blaming Dovi.

After you been absent from PS for a few years and left us wondering where all the cool stuff is going on,

be sure to drop in for a minute and tell us all about it.

I like Dovi, allwas have ! But to say Bautista was into hot when he already had the line Dovi wanted but was past by dove there is contradictory !

All in all, excellent and exciting last race of the season. I know people are generally pleased to see the back of the 800's but i cannot be happy about the end of any season, and i'm left feeling a bit sad that it's so long until the next race. I have thoroughly enjoyed this season, it's stories and it's sub plots too. Of course all of that has been dampened somewhat by what happend at Sepang, but there was some truly touching moments today and it has been emotional.

As for the race, the Repsol rider battle was extremely exciting and all in all I am happy to see Dovi take the pride with him at the end of all this, he has done an excellent job all year long, it's just a shame there wasn't a win or two in there. The weather did it's best to make things exciting and Ben looked excellent, it's great to watch when he's on it and i hope we can see a more consistent season from him next year. Casey was absoltutey destroying them until the rain came and then after few errors and a massive loss of time he seemed to fancy a fight, which he brilliantly won at the ver death of it. Can't help but feel for Spies though as just a slightly better drive from the last turn would have seen the job done for him.

I've already said what i made of the first corner incident, but it really was a shame to have so many exciting and potentially competitive riders removed so early, i can't work out how Elias avoided a penalty for his obvious yellow flag pass, but i'm guessing he gave the place back off camera. The rookie of year battle was excellent, both guys fighting for it no holds barred until the very end, i'm glad Cal won not just for Britain (best result of the 4 stroke era today) but because i think it was expected of him. I don't think Cal's year has been as bad as some on here have made out, but next year will be very telling, he HAS to bring it to Dovi's level and better, because he will lose his ride if not. He'll probably lose it anyway so he needs to be looking to impress outside of his current team if he wants to stay in the GP paddock. Abraham has been a revelation this year, i stuck up for him from the start and thought he was a competent rider, but given his experience and his equipment i have been extremely impressed with what he's achieved.
