Hey everyone!

I'm a fairly new MotoGP Fan and I've been trying to figure out what Channel carries the Moto GP races here in the US. I just want to make sure I'm prepared for the new season and don't want to miss any of the action! If anyone knows, please help me out! Thanks in advance!

speed tv has most of the races and they do a great job because the comentators are british
the home races (laguna) are usually on cbs which has sub par comentating by greg white. The worst race this year (comentating) was Indy on NBC they had this dude ralph shaheene or something like that. this poor guy couldnt even get the names right it was horrible i think if they would have pulled some one from the stands they would have done a better job. The two brits on speed make the races more enjoyable

Ralph Shaheen called Lorenzo (LorenTHO) and Dovizioso (DoviOSO), that was probably the worst pair of commentators ever on MotoGP........Shaheen and Schwants.

The US commentary is prettly lame. All cycle racing that I've watched here, with the exception of MotoGP.

I think, for the last two seasons, three races each season have been broadcast on major US networks and the commentary was the worst!

Well in Spain that would be the proper pronunciation for Lorenzo...I don't have any defence for him for butchering Dovizioso

Does that not depend on the regional dialect, i know some things are not consistent throughout?

none

Thanks everyone!

It's way expensive to get a cable package with SpeedTV, So i may just end up watching the races at Iggy's Sports Grill, or I might sign up for the Online MotoGP package. Has anyone signed up for this in the past? Would it be recommended?

+1^^^ don't waste your time with speeds coverage. to many ....... commercials & they don't show the 125 race till a week later sometimes much later.

I thought that the MOTOGP package was not worth it. Too much $ for too little. The feed is not that great? Also, and probably the worst of all, if you log on later they have the winner on the front page. So while navigating to the video feed you already will know who won. That's a spoiler. .... MOTOGP.com and Dorna I don't want them to have a penny of my cash.

I had an account in 2005 and 2006. Stateside, it really can't be beat. No one broadcasts free practices and I think I've only ever seen one qualification session and that was Laguna last year or the year before. To be able to see every FP and every QP for 125, 250 and MotoGP is pretty great. Their commentators are fantastic, it's the feed that SPEED uses so that's why SPEED gets decent reviews about the commentating. Additionally, there are loads of videos and rider interviews to check out between race weekends and throughout the year.

Occasionally I had difficulties with the stream or connection. This was most frequent while I was living in the dorms in the UK where content was monitored over the network and downloads were prohibited. I don't think I've ever had an issue while at home. Like Sack said, they display the podium finishers on the home page shortly after the race so if you're trying to watch the race on a delay without seeing the results, it's difficult/annoying.

Overall I think it's a pretty good value, $50 for the season or whatever it is now. I just generally don't have the time to take advantage of all the content and live sessions so I can't justify paying $50 just so I can watch the race live.

Ah, so Austin, the same commentator on Speed are the ones on MotoGP.com?

I asked Roger once if he had heard them but he mentioned he had not. (I think it was MotoGP or was it WSBK, ...., can't remember). Anyway, if its the same commentators then I'd say those guys are great. Geez, when they air it on ABC sports, these guys suck major. Gregg-......-White and Ralph-name-killer-Sheeham both should be shot. That is, after the chain beating.

Nah man. I've never seen the feeds from motogp.com, so I wouldn't know. All I know is the guys on Speed (the two Brits) are outstanding commentators. So you are saying its the same guys on motogp.com feed? If it is, then maybe I need to pay in (help with the bail outs and all) to get the full nine yards.

nick harris & gavin emmett. harris has been doing the commentary since at least the late 90s when his partner was dennis noyes. emmett has been doing it now for at least 3 seasons maybe 4, i can't remember when he started. i think, if i read correctly, that julian ryder will join the commentary team for this season.
