Two simple questions :-)

Hi.

I'm all new to the MotoGP sport, and I'm trying to learn some things about it.
I hope someone can help me answer my two questions:

1. I have read about the maximum lean angle, but different sources says different things. The most common answer is 68 degrees, but some even say 70 and 66. What is the correct answer?

2. Do MotoGP bikes have a common name? I mean, I have read about the common models like Ducati, KTM and Yamaha. I wonder if there is a more common term for the bikes used in MotoGP, like enduro, dirt etc.???

1. Realistically the max lean angle is 64/65 degree's just now anyway. I know there are instances of more extreme angles but usually it's during some kind of miracle save or similar.

2. Not entirely sure I understand the question but the common name is simply MotoGP bikes or MotoGP prototypes.

Ducati, Yamaha etc each manufacture their own machine within the set rules...max 1000cc etc etc.

The actual model is the name the manufacturer designates their bike

Eg ... YZR-M1 (YAMAHA)
GSX-RR (SUZUKI)
RC 213V (HONDA)

Thank you! I think you understood my question #2 correctly. I have read about prototypes now and see that is the answer I was looking for

Question 2.

The manufacturers do not call their bikes by 'model' types in the way that Ducati do with the Panigale, Kawasaki with Ninja range etc but as MM93 did say they do you model designations.

As example, the Ninja range of today is a ZX??? which is the model prefix Kawasaki did use for their last MotoGP bike but essentially it is exactly as MM93 did say.

From time to time, the media may assign a name (ie. the Screamer Honda back in the 2 stroke days) which they may use to describe a variation of the bike, but today's rules have kind of prohibited that as now you must finish the season with what you started and manufacturers cannot change the engine type characteristics etc.
