The BBC have done well to bring Motogp to free air... we're getting growing numbers every race.

On topic.

It is obviously stupid to invade the track before the race has finished; I don't have a strong opinion about later track invasions.

I haven't seen the stoner interview or a full transcript of it, but most of these controversies are generated by leading questions. Was he asked if he was pissed off by the booing? That said, he would have done better to have just ignored it, or even to have taken satisfaction that he had pissed off his detractors; you pretty much have the high ground if you win a race in such dominant fashion. It does seem to be his practice to mostly tell the truth as he sees it though, perhaps unwisely in these situations.

Valid points Michael, but the shame is that if CS did not answer it will just provide further fuel for those that see him as childish, petulant, a prick, a huge ego or whatever.

The thing with CS is that it appears that he simply cannot win, no matter what he does off track, in interviews or in public there will always be someone who misconstrues and or twists his comments (deliberately or other). Given he is a smart person (and he is), maybe he just couldn't be bothered anymore and is determined to say what he wants, but I get the impression that he just prefers to be left alone to do his job.

But as some have said (and I agree), I much prefer a rider who when interviewed calls it as he/she sees it, than one who comes along and toes the party or politically correct line. Love him or hate him, we need people like CS who will state the unpopular as without him we simply have automaton robots with no personality at all (male tennis anyone?).

Besides, any publicity is good publicity.

Who are you? I think you've stumbled onto the wrong forum. We only can tolerate one-maybe two fair and balanced posters here on this site. We already got Mr. Shupe & Rising Sun, and as they say; three is a crowd. You may have to look at posting your un-emotional, un-ranting, spot-on, insightful, knowledgeable type postings elsewhere. I don't want you to disrupt the universal balance of things around here.

.... man. Who do you think your are? We are in a middle of a war around here. Rossi vs Stoner. I will not have you coming on here talking like this.

Sorry.

Will try to find that rock from whence I came to crawl back under.

But thanks for the implied compliment.

I liked the thread better as a hunter thompson/vincent black shadow thread.
