Toseland clearly the favourite. I voted for him also.

I do think it's a little unfair to call Edwards '.....'. Colin can run with the majority of the moto gp field but the usual protagonists are (as is the case with most of the field) just better.

i'm glad your well drill !

i'll see if i remember to drag this up in a years time ?

Toseland, purely for the fact Edwards has done sweet FA this year. He'll struggle but so has Edwards.

Ewards has been done for a while.

What pressure of riding with the best ever. Edwards has had no pressure on him. He accepted the role of test rider and has dealt with it. Toseland will be hungry and will push till the end while Edwards will accept wherever he lands after 3/4 race distance...

Toseland toseland toseland.... Hands down

Exactly. Why the hell anyone would expect Edwards to win in 2008 is a complete mystery.

Both are two times WSBK champions ... that says they probably have a similar ability!

It's all about hunger now and it seems CE Jr has lost his!

I back Toseland even though he won't know most of the circuits.

Ironic that 2 WSBC are thrown together, Edwards I'm sure will hopefully help develop the bike even more throughout the season.

I hope Tose does well and does not end up like Shakie Byrne and Hodge before him.

Tose will pip him I reckon.

High Five

JT for sure.
Like others have said, Edwards has got the experience, but Toseland has got a point to prove. He dosent want to be another Neil Hodgson.

Hm quite a tough question. But it's the bike for Colin Edwards on that Yamaha that is letting him down I think but I agree that James will in the end win this battle between himself and Colin. JT all the way.

i like edwards, i would like to go drinking with him but i voted toseland because he is hungry and colin is settled.

Yep, always judged riders by that yardstick. Like me, I'm sure you'll remember the old Transatlantic days when you could talk to Schwantz etc in the bar at Redgate after the race.

Who says that newer is better!

5yrs moto gp experience v a couple of presaeson tests....

guess who wins that one?

familiarity of 3 yrs on the yamaha and michelin tyres v new bike and tyres....

guess who wins that...?

hunger to win..... hmm i would say that JT has the edge on that but by how much? is it possible that colin looked like he was cruising because the yam was that crap?

so, IMO its CE 2, JT 1.....

Im going with JT.How different would Colin's GP career have been if he'd got the Repsol ride alongside Valentino in 2003 instead of it been given to Nicky, surely Colin was more deserving of it but thats just IMO.Oh and i forgot nice save in qualfiying Colin

Care to say where Edwards finishes and JT finishes this weekend.
I see Edwards (if he gets a good start) leading for 4 or 5 laps and Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Possibly Rossi gobbling him up.

So... If Rossi is on CEII's tail does Edwards open the door this year or does he scarp it out...

I fully expect CE to beat JT this weekend. JT's got bronchitis which I hear has been quite bad. I think JT should be happy with a top 10, and anything else is a big bonus.

He's never raced here, so I expect him to be off Colin's pace until we get to WSB tracks.
