Hmm.. unlikely as it seemed for him winning, strange things have happened before..

Anyone remember the '77 Dutch GP? Wil Hartog? I know its a different era, but still..

Well, we can dream, I would have loved to see the French crowd when he took the lead, damn cameramen!

It is always good to see an underdog win though!

Like Chris Walker at assen in WSB last year or CV on sunday really!

I for one was rooting for Guintoli and Depuniet, for the moment. I watched the race at local joint with about 20 other friends; and when Guintoli and Depuniet ran at the front there was spontaneous cheering and clapping going on. I think most of us have a love for the underdog. I don't get why there are some here thinking it's so impossible that they could win. Its not like the other guys weren’t trying. Is it likely or probable that they would win, no, but this is motorsports racing, anything can happen, and what seems impossible sometimes happens. That's the beauty of sport, its unwritten. Was I cheering for the underdogs--yes. Could they have won--certainly.

I was a bit harsh in my first post. I did have a big smile when the two frogs were up there. On the other hand it's very typical that someone come from the blue in a rather despearte attempt to take a surprice victory. Riding on the tip of the edge in rain hardly ever pays off, and the odds for taking someone with them into the gravel are much higher than a win. There are exceptions, but thats the guys on lesser material with a proven rain record.

Could they have won --certainly
Just as certain that some win the state lottery, but people call that kind of lottery "tax for people who don't know math" for a reason.
