I assume you all have watched episode one of the new MotoGP docuseries. What did you think? I am a huge fan of the sport and also of documentaries and despite those things I found the first episode very unimpressive and am hoping subsequent ones will be better.

The main problem for me was they just tried to cram too much into 24 minutes. Even as a fan who gets up at all hours to watch all the FP sessions, qualifying and the races throughout the season, episode 1 ended up being like drinking from a firehose: incredibly hard to follow and unclear in its message. A good documentary will keep both the hardcore fan and someone with no interest riveted to the screen. “Senna” is a good example of this.

The second strike for me was just having Mir in the episode at all. Yes he won in 2020 but he only only won one race in a season that Marquez left due to injury. You guys might disagree, but those factors along with his equally unimpressive performances in 2021 and 2022 made me think including him was a bad idea. I’m not sure there was a way around it, since they theme of the series is about the championship and he did technically win, but it’s pretty clear to me he isn’t a threat to any of the really consistent title contenders. Maybe that will change on the Honda next year, but I highly doubt it.

What did you guys think of episode 1?

I'm in the states so I watch all MotoGP stuff on the app through my TV. It was kinda hard to find. The trailer is on the home page but the video itself I think I found under "browse." See what you think. I'm not into F1 anymore but "Drive to Survive" is way better.

Thanks. I'll watch it on my PC. Is this for the 2022 season?
Think I already watched this, was hoping a new series would be out. I'll watch again.

Yes, for the 2022 season. But they've only released the first of four episodes, so chances are you haven't seen it. And if you have, please post the link! Haha!

Episode 2 is much better than episode 1. The graphics are kinda cheesy, but other than that I now think the series has promise. Let me know what you think, @PRS717

It's called "There Can Be Only One." And it's at MotoGP's website or the app.

Oh, okay. I saw that and thought it was just a video about Pecco sporting the Number 1 plate. LOL. I'll check it out. Thanks.

Yeah, they have a bunch of videos up there and it’s not totally clear which are which. See what you think. I liked episode 2 a lot more than 1.

Don't have videopass. Oh well.
It’s totally worth it. In addition to these docuseries types of videos, you can watch every practice, qualifying, and race for Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP since 2002. In the off season I just watch past years races. Pretty awesome, IMO.

Agreed. I love it. No way I could watch races live with all the time changes. COTA would be the only one. Plus I like watching all the practice and qualifying sessions as well.
