Yes, and that's too bad really. I hoped for a race to the end this year and would have considered going to Valencia again but not now. Montegi or PI this championship is over

This might sound strange coming from an aussie, who is a big fan of Casey Stoner (AKA Casey Moaner: Sorry guys but we aussies tell it like it is & don't care much for political correctness) & also from someone who cheered KC on at PI with his two sons last year, but.............Rossi definitely sent a message to the young pretender (I don't care if you're half a second quicker, you still have to "RACE" me son). Regardless of whether you think Casey choked at the two subsequent rounds, or whether his wrist was a factor the fact remains- Rossi rose to the occasion & got the job done.
Congrats on number 8 VR!

PS: I can't believe my first post is agreeing with the '....' that is SS56!

and i dare say he will become your fav rider, i edoubt you will have the front to list him as such but i bet your posts will have a complete 180 on him from the stuff you have said in his past 2 years of not being a champ

bet you feel a bit of a .... now, saying he was old and past it last year

Well funily enough i don't have a problem with my feeling that Rossi was not performing well in the last two season, because it is supported by the results. He's certainly riding incredibly well now, but he's still old and he's still not the force he used to be.

I reckon Rossi will wrap it up at Motegi, but I wouldn't mind if not because I'm at Silverstone for the day for the BSB so will miss the race live. It's annoying having to miss the possible title decider live after watching every race live all season.

obviously he is, he's winning the championship probably with races to spare

tom think that older people are less motivated than younger people, they have slower reflex's and less stamina and these were the reasons for rossi not winning in 06 and 07. old and past it he said. so with that logic rossi must have got younger this year

Actually I'm gonna turn into that guy who used to keep saying it's fixed, (.... knows if he still does, the joys of ignore) and say that because Rossi is so old, the championship must be rigged to get the ever increasing OAP population watching. Ezy has seemn all those old people with disposable income and sees them as the market to be tapped. He has also fixed Hopper to be here, because he helps the less fortunate (and "special") see that it's not the winning it's the taking part that matters. Stoner is here to show the more "sensitive" and vulnerable out there see that people who suddenly break down in public and want everything their way have a place here too, and sometimes, even at the top of the tree. Obviously the "vertically challenged" have their Repsol hero too.

God bless Ezy, he cares about you and me and those who are less fortunate than us.

But tom, two mistakes in one part sentence is unusual even for you. He is older then he was last year, and when you count his wins, tracks he's won on, number of WC (soon anyway) even you might see that he is even more than the force he used to be. If we are to belive the americans he even was last year when he suposedly played Ezy around his little finger.

I guess that makes me a fossil.

Rossi can win the championship next year for sure but i feel that will be him... he may or may not stick around after that especialy if hes lost motivation.
