Hey guys, check this out. They had this bike at the International Motorcycle show in Long Beach, California.

Its a tribute to the Multiple Champ & Legend "King" Kenny Roberts Snr. It was built by a former racer turned bike builder named Roland Sands.

KR Tribute Bike.

Oh, wouldn't it have been cool to have Mr. Roberts there signing autographs?

What you guys think? Impressions?

im sure its a great bike and its great for KR

but i dont like it, nice colour but the design looks kack, i dont dig that style bike

Personally, I think it's beautiful--the colors could be slightly different but it still looks really good.

I do; however, find the bike to be very odd. It's more like a "look at me, ....." bike than a road worthy machine or a work of art. It just seems like a cool concept that is revealed as an eclectic slab of machine parts when you get on to ride. Just the sound alone would throw me off. I'd keep looking over my shoulder for some fully faired racing bike.

I'm glad it was made, but I'm also glad I don't have to ride one.

P.S. Will somebody please make a cafe racer that isn't retro, cliched garbage, high-tech tomfoolery, or a shiny paintjob?

How about a bike that looks relatively modern, uses low-tech easy to make/maintain parts, and doesn't shine like a quarter summoning an airborne crow?

don't like it..... they showed this thing during the usgp. sands deticating it kenny was there & made some comments. i can't remember what he said tho. speed showed it i'm sure.

I know how to make it (the engine) look better....

use one of these...

What the hell did Kenny Roberts have to do with Wooden Board Racing?

Well i love it and think Roland Sands is a genius. However it's at least a year old now I'm surprised you lot haven't seen photos of it before.

i love the frame and the general style of the bike, not sure about the tank shape but im sure it looks awesome in the flesh.

It' s certainly different Rog. Not my thing , but different.

I'd like to see a replica of the TZ 750 flat tracker!

I was walking thru the crowd in the vendor section at the 06 Laguna MotoGp race when this young skater lookin dude was trying to ride his way thru the crowd on a very loud custom chopper type bike.
It was very crowded and he was revving it repeatedly to try to make a path thru people.
My 1st thought was Why doesn't this Discovery Channel wannabee
get this loud ... Harley wannabee bike out of here and stop acting like he's actually riding something that half the people there give a .... about.
I wanted to tell him that he missed the exit for Sturgis.

Later on I saw an article or maybe something on TV about who he was and what the bike was.
In hindsight I probabaly would have appreciated it more had I known
it was a motoGp motor.
It does look pretty cool and Sands builds his custom bikes in more of a road bike fashion than the chopper guys so I'll give him that but in the end it's just another trailer queen with no function than to look cool so it doesn't do too much for me.
