Ordered off Amazon last night after just finishing Vale's autobiography; I'm really looking forward too it, I really miss the guy from the sport and I think he would have joined the minority club of Rossi beaters. I remember watching it live, really horrible; I was very very very dissapointed in Suzuka's safety system, just throwing him on a stretcher like that, and the fact that they didn't stop the race disgusts me; atleast now it's improved, and is definately in my bunch of faveourite tracks!

i think kato would have had many world championships, we all missed out on some great battles between kato and rossi, thats for sure,
i hate suzuka now and im glad they scrubbed it out of the motogp calender,i wont even ride it on the ps2 because i always think of kato and how tragic it was. i was also disgusted the race didnt get red flagged.
i will definetley put this book on my christmas list.

I've been waiting for the book to become available here... thanks for letting us know...

It is very true that it was only after the accident of DK that the riders safety commission was formed with VR, KRJr, and LC the head men. I'm also glad that the riders' comm forced Laguna to redo their track for the safety of the riders... yes, I know many of us will ..... about it but at least now we can enjoy the races without worrying too much about horrifying accidents.

Thats gotta be a must buy that one. Kato would have kept Vale honest for the last few years. A total tragedy to lose him, and an outrage the way it was handled.

No problem; it looks great, there's a few guys that have wrote it so It looks like they've done their research, I can't wait for it.

This book has been out a little wile now, i've seen it in waterstones and borders book shops here in the UK. My brother got it in september and i have read a lot of it. Its a very good reed and a touching book. As for the accident itself, yes it was truly horrible to watch. But i still think suzuka is a classic track and its a true shame its had to be removed from the calander. But obviously the true loss is one of the greatest riders of recent years, and it is only logical to leave safety decisions up to the guys who put themselfes on the line.

I have the book now and much to my surprise it's a picture book with writing from bike ledgends and family of Dai-chans, I have to admit the pictures are amazing!

yeah, got mine too. had a little peek before it was taken of me until xmas. loads of smart colour photos from what i see.

Until I came onto this forum I had never heard of Kato, and until I read this thread I never knew how he died...very sad, he could of been a huge contender too. I've actually seen an amatuer footage clip of the crash (it's not gory or horrible, you can only see the crash from where the filmer was standing in the crowd), but it looked like such an impact although you couldn't really see much.

I might add it to my xmas list, aswell as a few other biographies.
