I wonder why the "whine" birds haven't emerged. Why hasn't Marquez been labeled a whiner for blaming his equipment? Why haven't the psychologists emerged, to tell us it's all in his head? Where are the manly men, to tell us he should shut his gob and get on with it? So far Kevin Cameron. Mat Oxley, Dennis Noyes, and Kracpot Talkin have all written complex rationalizations to account for Marquez crashes.

Kesh & Mick, you two seem to know a lot, why do u suppose the whine birds, sports psychologists, and manly men haven't emerged among our trusted jounolists?

As much of a mystery as to why the engine woes haven't been attributed to VSGs....

Or more accurately...

Do you wrap it before you 'back into' your animals Barry?

Back on topic, do we know if the Honda exhaust has imporved matters? I recall they had a new one for Barcelona but with MM binning it so early on I'm not sure if the engineers got any feedback.

Kropo had this to say about today's Assen qualifying...

He just squeaked ahead of Marc Marquez, the Repsol Honda rider finding a way to ride around the problems of the RC213V, and threatening to take pole here before being knocked down the order.

He rode around the problems to get himself within just a hair over two-tenths of a second.

Marc really does do it all, he wins, and even when he isn't winning, he rides around the problems that the RCV has. What a guy.

Jesus ....... christ. He writes a handful of words about MM in a story devoted to the first row of the qp grid. What the .... is he supposed to write? Rossi in first etc, asparagus in second, aaannnd nothing going on in third... Moving on to fourth....

This ....... kropo bashing .... is just ridiculous. If you dont like his take, dont read his stories, which you are clearly doing. Its just flat out bitchiness, and reminiscent to listening to the local soccer mums outside my kids schools, who just rag the .... out of anything that doesnt exceed their bitchy fuggin standards.

It's worth mentioning what he said because you don't hear him throwing the same fawning .... at Dani Pedrosa who was a tenth behind in P4. Instead it's all about MurderMac and his supposed exploits in spite of a .... bike, meanwhile his teammate actually finishes races on the same bike, and near the front. But it's not really given any due consideration because it doesn't fit into the narrative of "Marc Marquez rides the bike beyond it's limits" .........

Hahaha, bro this is the first angry post I've ever read from you. I actually like this side of u (not that i didnt like your laid back style). Sorry about my Kropo bashing man. I'm addicted to it. No really, im compulsive. Feel free to skip over my takes brother. You won't like what comes next.

Lotus, what Kropo meant about "riding around the 'problems'" was in reference to the other blokes on the track. All those guys are "problems". Hence why it looked like they were always in Marc's way. I think the tailgating tactic he deployed was effective. In fact I could actually here Marc shouting at them in the clips. Watch them and listening carefully, Marc gets right onto their rears and u can hear him say, "Hey....HEY YOU! What's your problem? Get out of my ....... way!" Then he proceeded in riding around these problems.

Well said.

Being laid back is exactly why I get .... off with this sort of thing. My modus operandi exists around just being cool, and accepting that everyone has a different outlook on life, whether they are right, wrong or just flat out ...... nuts. I hate seeing people get picked on for their view, and although i dont necessarily agree with you and lotus on some of these topics (MM is a nutcase, granted), im happy for you guys to chuck your ideas out there, but just not at the expense of someone else. I ...... hate bitchiness :)

Now, if we all could sit around and take 5 grams of dried mushrooms each in a dark room, there would be some waayy different views on life and each other lol :)

So, for all of those who are worshiping at the altar of Kropo and the rest, we can have a topic to document the claims that the RCV is a steaming pile of .....

I happened to see Mat Oxley's latest hit-and-run piece over on Motorsport Magazine.

I've quoted the relevant portions here since the rest is just about how J-Lo is making the 9 times world champion his ......

There it is gentlemen, everyone in the pitlane says it is mechanical. Why, the answer is so obvious, I can't believe I ever entertained the thought that all of these problems and crashes could have been rider-related.

.... that lack of points is obviously Honda's fault.

...., I am beside myself that a rider trying to brake late as possible, and losing the bike might have been the cause for Honda's most recent loss of points. What was I thinking?

Well if its a question of the flywheel being too light, why don't they apply the usual Honda fix-it technique, over engineer it, after all Honda are famed for their lardy bikes :ninja:

Well, if the flywheel was external, like an old Guzzi's bacon-slicer, they could....

This post has some comedy gold in it! Hey Barry, how's you my fellow Scot? When you coming home to the old country to build me a fretless bass ukulele?

I just had a thought on this:

Alvaro Bautista threw the RCV into the scenery more often than not last yr. He's now on an Aprilia and only retired once this yr (Which was Marquez' fault).

Crutchlow, ok he crashes a lot but has been binning the Honda this year when pushing it. Redding has no confidence to push the bike and is running with the opens...so, maybe the RCV does have some issues ;)

There's no doubt that the satellite iterations are raw, savage and unrefined, lacking the throttle mapping that the factory team has worked hard to perfect.

Cal - admittedly always prone to overplay issues - has stated that the satellite Honda is 40% to ride than any other MotoGP machine in his experience. And that initially, although the Ducati was plagued by understeer, towards the end of his contract he was at least able to push for a podium.

Did you hear about Miller's recent orthopedic diagnosis which has found small hairline cracks in his radial bones and ulna which are being attributed to wrestling with the Honda?

I didn't no, but thats interesting given he's on a 'dumbed down' RCV1000RR (Or as Lex would call it, a competent bike).

We know Hayden's wrist if knackered too, so that can't be helping!
