The prototype now used at Ducati is NOT designed by Stoner...Nor did he develop it.
He has only test rode it a handful of times and hasn't had a great input to it at all...
Stoner doesn't help with rider training and barely turns up to any GP races anymore.
The current prototype is a far cry what so ever to what stoner won his title on.
Gigi is mostly responsible for the new machine, Ducati sacked most of the "original " developers because they never wanted to listen to burgess or rossi on how to fix the old .... box.

Dovi is doing great and 99 will be finding his way very soon

Dovi is doing well on the Stoner Ducati and with Stoners tutillage, but really Lorenzo is just showing it isnt much improved.

Rossiwould be doing even worse on it.

You're green. Free pass.

As long as none of the credit goes to dovi himself. That would be just plain stupid.

Sure, great credit to Dovi, I don't think anyone can possibly detract from what he has done this season, or from his body of work at Ducati in general which obviously continues to build.

What .... hes too far away.

Well of course he is ..... its hard to have him prepare the bikes every race when hes v in Australia ;)

Tip: Casey used to test the Desmosedici (while living in Australia) without any problems, at least until Lorenzo became a Ducati rider. Maybe that made Australia too remote, -- or not remote enough... ;)

Maybe he should see if any of the Japanese manufactures are looking for a testing engineer. Much closer logistically speaking. Maybe honda?

I'd recommend Suzuki. Stoner tested Honda, they won, Stoner tested Ducati, they're almost contending, Suzuki needs them now. Then Aprilia, then KTM.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

"Almost contending"? They are leading the blessed championship after 12 races. If that's the logic, then I'll be happy when they "almost win" it.

And as good as it is having Stoner's occasional input, the current Ducati was made on the basis of Dovi's feedback.

No doubt the credit is to Dovi and Gigi.

I'd like to see Stoner coach Ianonne the same we he taught Randy Depuniet but harder much much harder.
