So after mugello we have:
1 Loris Capirossi (ITA) Marlboro Ducati 99
- Nicky Hayden (USA) Repsol Honda 99
3 Marco Melandri (ITA) Fortuna Honda 89
4 Daniel Pedrosa (ESP) Repsol Honda 86
5 Valentino Rossi (ITA) Camel Yamaha 65
- Casey Stoner (AUS) Honda LCR 65
7 Antonio Elias (ESP) Fortuna Honda 53
8 Colin Edwards (USA) Camel Yamaha 49
9 Sete Gibernau (ESP) Marlboro Ducati 44

Can we say that the season starts again? From my point of view rossi still has a lot of work to do as i can't see Loris, Hayden , Melandri or Dani losing too many points.I think is going to be a real batlle this seson. My head says that Rossi will eventually came in front but I want Capirossi to win this year becouse he's in the last years of racing. What's your opinion?

As i am subjective I can say Go Loris!!

loris and nicky are scoring consistenly high so personally i think its going to be between them for the championship. if rossi can keep the yamaha performing as well as he did today he has a chance.

Rossi needs to win a lot of races especially if Loris and Nicky keep scoring strongly. Loris deserved to win as much as Rossi at Mugello, IMO he rode a very clever race just Rossi had that little bit more left on the last lap. Thing is can Loris convert that performace into consistant podiums? Can any of them? Nicky can for sure but with each of the four guys at the top of the championship standings seeing a real prospect of winning the world title, it's gonna be scrappy.

You could be right Katt, could be any of them. That was the dopiest get-off I ever saw by Marco yesterday though, he should never have went on the grass at that speed, he bottled out for sure.

I totally agree. I was in such delight that it would have been an all italian podium then that sort of thing happened.

dopey is a good way to explain it ... but Mugello is just one of those tracks... i think it was Hayden that said, every lap at Mugello has to be a perfect one, you can't afford to make mistakes...

but he did recover quite well from his little excursion off track...

The older he gets, the better he is. I would choose Loris over Hayden to win the championship.

quoted for the truth!
I would chose Loris over Rossi to win the championship. I would love to become real: capirossi champion!

p.s. for Rossi's fan: I's my opinion you can't change it so don't try.I know you think rossi is the best and the greatest etc etc. I know you belive rossi is unvincible. Just let me alone with this arguments and let's wait and see what happens. And if in the end Rossi triumphs i'll congratulate you as his fan. Until then respect everyone opinion and choice!!

Capirex: Just don't generalize the issue to all Rossi fans. Not everyone worship him as God, and I for one respects your opinion as I know you would respect mine.

Hey,

I personally think that old boy Loris deserves it this year, nothing against NH or Marco, Rossi will have to win lots, and if a spate of bad luck strikes the main contenders, as its due for some of them, then the end of season could be real tight.

Loris or Rossi will win, with mr consistant Hayden up there in third.

Some other questions;

Can Hayden win a race this season, outside of America?

Will Michael Schumacher make another appereance? I wonder who gave him the ticket?

Will a Aussie win a race this season in 125, 250 or MotoGP?

Thats all I can come up with for now.

Rossi is good enought to come back and win it which i really hope he dose.

but with only have a couple of races this season were he hasn't had anything wrong with his bike he has done good, but i dont think they have solved the problems yet but if he could id love Rossi to win it but its gonna be pretty hard.

but if Rossi cant come back and win it. I think Capirossi will take it.

I didn't mean to generalize. I respect everyone opinion but i want mine opinions to respected aswell. With that p.s. i wanted to avoid any response of a rossi's fan that might have sounded like this: " Rossi is the best... He'll win the championship by a mile, etc etc!!"
No offence to anybody.
I'm sorry that might sounded generalized!!

We saw it too at LeMans, Jerez, China, Turkey, no? where was rossi then. Just stop kissing in the a Rossi, he's not unvincible.
As far as I know here is a motogp forum, not a fanclubvalentinorossi forum.

Yes, along with being very strong at Laguna Seca I believe Hayden will be a strong candidate for a win in Assen, Sachsenring and Phillip Island. Yes, Marlboro. No, sorry. The best shot is for Stoner or Vermeulen at home and I think Rossi, Hayden, Capirossi, Melandri and Pedrosa will be too strong there. Although I am pulling for Stoner to get one win this season.

This is very odd for me as a part of me wants Capirossi to win the title as he is getting on in age and Hayden has years in front of him. On the other hand, I've been watching Nicky for a while and really hope he pulls it off. The reality is Rossi has a very tough task ahead of him to beat Loris and Nicky and at the same time Loris and Nicky have an equally tough task in keeping Rossi, Melandri, Pedrosa and eachother at bay. The good news is you couldn't have picked any nicer racers to be this season's protagonists.

True!! i want loris to win it too. but every one has his choice!

But what a season we have this year...Rossi is on hot heels ( the following 3 races are rossi's land), Hayden is constant (can he win other race than laguna seca?) Loris is on good shape ( he proved he can keep up with rossi, but can ducati and bridgestone match yamaha and michelin?) Melandri is the underdog... you never know when he can strike, Dani...well he's fast he's learning, he's up there and stoner ( he is good enough to win races, but will be allowed by rossi?)
i don't want to forget sete but i still can't see him winning a race, not yet at least...

So...Rossi? ...Hayden?....Loris?.... Dani?... Stoner...what races are going to be... Can't wait!!
