THE CASE FOR MARQUEZ

Rossi lost the plot over the idea that Marquez was holding him up at PI.

He then lost the plot again and did something incredibly stupid, knocking Marquez off.

Marquez asked for it, Rossi gave it to him. Difference is that what Marquez did is perfectly legal.

Krop, how can you say Marquez asked for it? You have stated he did nothing illegal. Where does it state in the rule book that all riders must push at one hundred percent the entire race, if not, then you will be asking to be knocked off? So now racing for position is asking for it?

He asked for it because he was racing as if his life depended on the result and deliberately came close to contact several times trying to induce a crash, which he almost succeeded. There were 14 passes in 3 laps, 14 passes. This was not the last 3 laps, but the opening 3 laps. On a single lap, there was passes (switchbacks) on turn 9, then 10, then 11 then 12. He was asking for it and he got it. Rossi is a racer he doesn't mind a good battle but this being the opening laps would have made zero difference if he were to simply follow, like he's done at Argentina, Silverstone, Assesn....Been watching MotoGP for over 25 years, I've never seen anything like it, not even in the old slipstream races at the old Hockenheim. And if anyone has seen 14 passes in 2 laps in the premiere class, please refresh my memories.

Met a girl at a party who was asking for it. So I gave it to her. Now I'm on some stupid list.

He "asked for it because he was racing like his life depended on it". Proof he was asking for it.

He asked for it because when he raced he "came close to contact", and racing without contact will just not be tolerated!

He asked for it because he made "14 passes in 3 laps" all of them clean and free of contact, it's like having a 14 inch skirt.

He asked for it because in turns 9,10,11, and 12, he was passed by Rossi and Marc didn't pull over.

"Rossi is a racer he doesn't mind a good battle" except when Marc races him 'cleanly ' and so 'determined' because Rossi just wanted Marc "to follow".

"Been watching MotoGP for 25 years, never seen anything like it" except of course when Rossi did it, but that was ok.

"And if anyone has seen 14 passes in 2 laps in the premiere class, please refresh my memories." Oh oh, I know this one. Uhm...Sepang 2015. Proof that passing cleanly without crashing is WRONG.

PERVERSION POST ROSSI MCCARTHYISM : Racing cleanly, with determination, early in a race, is suspicious behavior, proof of being a Yellow Communist/Terrorist.

As a Track day rider and someone who understood VR's statement in the press conference it is clear the VR tried to get MM to follow him or work with him to catch the two leaders. He tapped the back of his bike which is the sign for follow me then he gestured for MM to go through. MM was interfering by overtaking multiple times on one lap which you only ever see on the last lap.

I'm VR has brought a lot of fans to Moto GP and it is a fact that the sport was on its knees before him came along. I am old enough to have gone to the WSB and MotoGP in the same year at Donnington when WSB got double the numbers through the gate.

What brings you to this 'factual' conclusion?

Sure the sport was not as commercially sound in dollar terms but it was in a strong position as it is after all a niche sport.

I will accept that what Rossi did was bring in new fans and sponsors, some of which will leave when he goes but at no time was the sport 'on its knees' as you suggest.

Ur right. I think I know the solution. Bring cal to sbk and rea to gp. Then we give cal the rossgarty treatment and you'll see brits/people in distinctly colored hats warming up to wsbk again.
You know, because thats where its at.

That wasn't a girl, that was me. Were you THAT drunk?

I still like your short skirt analogy.

Many people here including myself have done trackdays and know the 'tapping the tank/tail' signal, but Rossi never once 'tapped the tank', he waived his arm in the air. Pack Draughting is not common in the MotoGP class compared to Moto3.

Rea would suck more than a hooker in GP's

Rea beat Lorenzo and rossi in his first timed session. Fact.
He also beat stoner and hailwood that day

I know man, I actually don't mind Rea, I'm just ...... wit ya...

Somebody sent me a link to a video where Rossi is taking shots at Marcus with a gun. Tell me this hasn't crossed Marc's mind given the insanity being said about him in the context of these fanatics who genuinely display a cult fascination akin to religious extremism and what they may be capable of doing. I'm not kidding. I was in attendance here in Southern California, Pasadena Rose Bowl Stadium, at a World Cup game between the US and Columbia. I was on the side of the goal where one of the Colombian players made an own-goal. That young man was later shot in his country. Surely because his intentions were misinterpreted. A young man who was desperately trying to stop a ball from going in, in the same way that Marc was highly motivated in only trying to BEAT Rossi, as his only real statement, at all cost as opposed to toying with him, a pivotal difference but one that has inexplicably been lost because the perversion has reached the stratosphere. It's time for journalists and riders and fans to come to their senses, take off the yellow McCarthyist tinged glasses and denounce robustly Rossi's baseless and disgusting accusations and the aftermath it has produced!

It got posted here, and got a bunch of likes in a different topic.

I was a bit surprised because the incident you mentioned with the own-goal murder was what came to my mind with this whole VR-MM debacle. I know some people here think the video is amusing, but when you have people trying to actively raise money to pay other GP riders to take out MM, I don't find it so amusing any longer.

I think MotoGP should revoke all paddock passes for Valencia for security reasons. I wouldn't put it past some of Rossi's fans to try and take matters into their own hands.

While Valentino can think whatever he wants, he should have made a statement telling his fans to back off. That while he appreciates their emotion, this is an issue that has been appealed and will be decided by the FIM and to please refrain from threats of violence or acts of violence, otherwise he will sit out Valencia if the poor fan behavior continues.

But that will never happen.

To be fair, it seemed funny at the time. I laughed when I saw it, but then I cringed knowing these fools are crazy.

But anyway that's not the point. The point is that things are getting a bit out of hand. With fights breaking out at Marc's house allegedly. I'll wait for the full report. But regardless something like this was bound to happen. There were reports of fights at the track at Sepang. We saw the videos of some of the Rossi fan club trying to barge into the Honda garage. Etc. It hasn't helped that journalist have blamed both parties again bully versus the victim and the idea that both parties are to blame employing this notion of fairness. Media outlets need to start growing some balls and denouncing Rossi and the aftermath that's happening.

See the quote I started this thread with.

When you look at that insane petition close to a half a million signers you know there's another half million who just haven't signed it but feel the same way. Amongst a million there's gotta be one crazy guy who's going to be, in his delusional mind, the hero.

The Wilkes Booth of his time.

just been flicking through a few threads and posts..... So let me get this straight, Rossi and Marq had a coming together at the last race ?
This needs some discussion.....interesting
