It would be great to have more bikes on the grid, but not King Kenny. He sucks the air out of the team by being such a big personality, and so overshawdows any rider he hires. The result is King Kenny gets crap riders or he strong arms his sons in to riding his low budget pig bikes....and KRSR then still makes himself the center of attention instead of his riders or bikes....

If KRSR can get a team together with some bike great, but he must change the team name and stay away from the paddock letting a real team manager run the show.

I agree that he is the big personality, but dude, that is like saying Kevin Schwantz is the big personality in the American Rookies Cup. Of course. Its a bit hard not to notice since he has had such a huge impact in the sport. Ok, as to you second point about his pig bikes. Uhm, have you been paying attention. The bikes are pigs when he gets the third tier .... from the leasing manufacture who .... them over by giving him ..... The only reason they did well relatively speaking is because they worked so hard on the chassis.

As far as strong arming his kids to ride. That is pretty funny. What an ..... to get a former world champ to ride for free. Yeah Kurtis wasn't all that great, but do you remember how Melandri & West have done on a full factory bike this year on those dominant Bridgestones? Uhm, makes the KR bikes on third tier .... and second rate Michelins not look so bad, eh?

True getting KRJR to ride was a good idea for about half a season then the rest of field / team evolved and upgraded their bike and KRSR team fell back even with KRJR riding....

And Kurtis...well one thing is ceratin in this universe beside death and taxes, and that is that Kurtis will never follow in his dad's and brother's foot steps to world champion....at anything.

WTF? Rough Riders?

Man i live in Suid Central.Every squid in the world seems to make it to my little knook in the world at one time or another.I have the pleasure of living minutes from one of the,if not the, motorcyle mecca of the world. Deals Gap,aka The Dragon. This has been my stomping grounds for decades and up until the last 10-12 years, kind of had it to ourselves.Every Rossi wannabe from every corner of the world comes to slay the Dragon and the results range from the hysterical to horrifying.I still ride it every weekend but have to get up and get on the road by 6am to get some runs in before thr carnage starts.I have come up on riders in full race leathers, knee pucks that sparkle and it is the most comical thing you have ever seen. They are hanging off the bike like monkeys trying to get a knee down and the bike is standing so straight you could put the stand down. They get to the end and they talk about how they were railing and showing the scatches on their pucks. Those are the comical ones. The tragic ones are the ones that when a local shows up on his ...,he immediatley tries to pick up the pace and within seconds is in trouble. Many take a ride on Life Star, many more are hauled out in an ambulance with the lights on and some,6 in the last 2 years, dont need the lights.I visit quite a few bike boards and all of them have rallies at the Gap.You are right ,image and internet bench racing rule the day.Very few really ever learn to ride.I took a group from out of town on a ride across the Cherohala Skyway [My Favorite} .Its about 45 miles in length and i stopped half way thru and no one was in sight.I waited and waited and finally some start coming in.One of the internet Rossi racers comes over and tells me that i need to slow down that i was freaking the board members out.I told him he was freaking me out because of the time it took you guys to get here,i thought someone had gone off. There is a bunch of posers on sport bikes in this country, whats it like in other parts of the world where mororcycles are more than an extension of some stunters .....

That's mean dude. But what else does he have going, we all know he's never gonna make it on America's Next Top Model.

Ok, ok, stop it already. We get it, you kissed and made up thanks to me. But if the needless +1 and circle jerks continue, you two will need to get a room already.

Isn't KRSr trying to get some dirt track thing going?
I think Team KR have been a bit of a victim of the poor performance of the Hondas in 07, their bike not being up to scratch that season would not have been such a bummer if they had have a had a few more seasons to go at. Like with the 990s they had a good few years to get the chassis sorted and build on years of experience and amazingly ended up 6th in the World championship in 06 beating stoner on a customer honda. Not to mention a fantastic race at Estoril which noone will for get in a hurry. But with the 800s it was like going back a hundred steps for them. But if you hear anyone talk about the design (riders included) of the KR machines they have nothing but praise for the engineering quality. The swinging arms KR developed for the WSB and BSB series are still being used and watching the races this weekend one of the commentators was praising the quality of the swing armw which most of the hondas are using so what does that tell you? The money just wasn't there to keep them in the game at anything like a competitive level so until that changes I guess KR will be out of the picture for a while.

Why not King Kenny buy some Hondas or Yamahas? Not just buying the Honda engines like he did in 2006 and 2007. Stop spending money on building the whole bike and buy bikes that are proven and work. Hell, have KRJR on the bike.
