i think that i am more inclined to believe rossis take on the yamaha, seeing as he was the one who had to use it day in and day out, rather than mamola, who whilst being a very good rider in his day, is now old and a ....... JOURNALIST......

that means, he has to write stories....if they are factual, then great, but that doesnt really matter too much, as long as it is sensational and will sell copies of MCN

Most definitely! .... why would Yamaha and Jermey's crew supply Rossi with an engine that was anything but the best for Rossi.?

It would be an absolute stupidity for me to fly in the face of logic and say "no no I think Rossi should have a Duc. Engine ... or a Kawa ..... or the Suzuki ........ or even a Honda ..... in place of the one he helped develop!! "

So even though you feel it was a tractor engine .... it is the one history shows is best suited to Rossi.

Why doesn´t Yamaha have a deal with Kenny Roberts? Yamaha only has a satellite team anyway. And Roberts is like a legend in Yamaha, yes? Do they have a bad relation?



KR left Yamaha because he said staying with them would be "good for his golf" he was frustrated at the lack of input they allowed him.

One way or another they are going to have to come to a decision on the engines real soon.

All of the KR related articles i have read speak of this sponsor waiting to field two bikes, to me that sounds positive and i just wonder who the other rider can be, hopefully someone european. But nothing will happen until KR can find an engine supplier and i hope its ilmor!

i find it very admirable that KR wants to have (sort of) DIY motoGP team, but i think he would be better off just leasing some bikes. instead of spending all that time and expense on R&D for everything-but-the-engine, just lease a couple Suzis or something.

or go to WSBK.

seriously.

it sounds weird hearing KR and SBK in the same sentence instead of GPs, but it's not like SR is out there racing... at this point, he's just another team owner.

there's an "ignore user" function on the forum. i suggest you use it. it makes this place much more enjoyable.
