<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Sep 25 2008, 10:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Also, I regard Dovi's performance last year very high. I would be surpiced if he doesn't become a champion in the top class. Following him on the Honda and repeat his performance with a bike with another year on it's back and you would have the new wonder boy after Rossi.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dovi, he is indeed a future contender but if he was championship material and the next Rossi, wouldn't the different teams that run factory Aprilia have seen that and wanted to sign him in '07? Would Dovi have knowingly put himself on a "underpowered" machine? IMHO, the Honda 250 was not as bad as everyone has made it out to be.

Guys, sorry but there really is no debate on the matter of the 250 Honda. The FACT is it has not had factory support for three years and is the least technically advanced bike on the grid. What that means to actual lap time I have no idea, but you are definitely starting behind the eight ball on a Honda.

Taka token Japanese? Yep and I don't begrudge Honda for that with the number of bikes they field in the premier class. If an american company could actually build and field a bike or SIX, could you imagine the outrage and diatribes we would be submitted to on this forum if that company didn't have at least one Yank rider?

nahhhh.... i'd say that old yamaha that pradita is riding around on is a hell of alot less technically advanced than that honda.

God - I even forgot there was a Yamahahaha on the grid, Frosty! Of course you're right.

Well of course genius, were are talking about the 250 champ and the runner up, which is comparable, but you tried to say, yeah, what's the big fuss about a Jap rider classified in 7th. Try to stay with the point, feel free to write down notes to help you with your response. I'm still waiting for you to make a case for Taka...or are you gonna relegate your replies to weak deflecting responses? I'm waiting for your great case to be made. Or are you just gonna man up and admit like Yago that you stuck your foot in your mouth...as usual.

Oh he's coming to GPs...we just have to wait until 2010 once Pedrobot and Puig have been ousted from Repsol for not wining the 2009 title....or Gresini get rid of DeAngelis or Elias....either way Kiyo is coming and the kid will impress!

In the meantime....they should bring back Tamada!

Start actually reading my posts Jumkie. Last time out you blew it when you trid to make fun of my calculations because you didn't read my post, this time you obviously didn't get that the honda, commonly reffered to in the press as "stone age edition", has seen little or no development the later years. I said I would give him a chance because Honda might have judged his performance better then most here. But then again, he might just be another token rider. Anyway, I wan't to see what happens before I pass any judgement. But you just go on with your usuall act and and shoot first and read afterwards

I surly don't know much about AMA and never tried to claim so, but I do know what the Superstock suportseries to WSBK is and theres been plenty of scandinavians around 7th there and faster scandinavians in other series. But I would never dream of comparing them to motoGP 250. That would have been stupid. So for your sake I surly hope Superstock AMA are more like Supersport WC. But even that is no match at all to GP250.

This is the meat and potatoes of your big case? Hahaha, you are pitiful. It must suck being you, who wants to debate but having such poor skill. (You may want to pick up another hobby, you suck at this one).

I hope you are correct, but I doubt it. I think Puig has a lasting influence. The funny thing is, for all the ...... you do on Nicky, if Dani doesn't win the title in his 4th year, he would have not been able to match his rival. Anyway, I hope your prediction comes true.

Takahashi is a grid filler, I think most everyone is in agreement with that. And like mentioned, I think Kiyonari would have been the better choice. In fact I predict Takahashi is bringing up the rear next year.

Ben Spies also gets so much crap from members here for his championships. Claims that it is all bike and not the rider. Well It's fact the Yosh Suzuki is the best bike on the grid, but the domination is down to rider superiority. Tommy Hayden doesn't run with Ben or Mat on the same bike. And what about last year in superstock? Ben was running away with every race and that was in a class of near stock machines. This year the racing in superstock is close because Ben is gone. I don't think that was the bike at all. Ben has the talent to compete against the worlds best. It is true he is just a big fish in a small pond though.

I think by the end of next year Takahashi is going to be on the hot seat. Ben should be in MotoGP and hopefully we'll get to see him in WorldSBK next year and not beating up on the rest of the U.S. riders.

I think some people here could be underestimating Taka. Token or not, he isn't a terrible rider. But I won't go guessing anything before I see him ride next year.

No no, he must be crusified right now on the US altar. It's his fault that Spies doesn't have a contract now so he should burn in hell. Surly he is no better than a midpacker in the ama suport clases, the mighty Junk has so spoken.

No, I'll go with you and se what he got until I trhow him to the wolves. He probably got there out of his nationality, but it just could be that professionals see somthing in the kid that we watchers dont.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (yago @ Sep 25 2008, 02:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Well deserved I would say.

But if the Team Scot gets the RCV what happens with Montiron's squad? Will they get a RCV as well after their split with Team Scot? And if yes for who?
LOL....yeah right. There are about 10 other riders head and shoulders above him that deserve a GP ride.

Takahashi's got one qualification - BORN IN JAPAN. He's done .... all and doesn't deserve the ride. Politics as usual. When will the Japanese learn that their riders suck in the premier class?

^That's quite and exaggaration as there have been some quite alright Japanese riders there.

Yes Tamada and Shinya have lit the world on fire, NOT. What I don't understand is, if they are going to promote a token rider, why don't they put him on a Jap factory bike and make sure he gets the best Bridgestones so we can be tricked into believing they are fast? Hell it's worked for other darlings in the sport.

I don't get it, we have a series dominated by all things Japan (bike & tires), they promote Jap riders who are clearly not in the cut, then why not go the logical extra step and put them on a head-start package like Dani.
