A previous Dorna statement was that Suzuki would have to occupy the slot of an existing CRT team (i.e. take it over) but now they seem to have back-pedalled and Suzuki will be welcomed. Brivio is the old team manager of Yamaha, responsible for the hiring of both Rossi and Lorenzo; when the Yamaha garage was effectively split in 2008, his responsibilities were reduced to only the Rossi half of the team, and he eventually left with him. He has worked as manager at VR46 since (Rossi's company), and now has left it to manage the new Suzuki team. He is currently renting facilities near Milan and equipping them for that purpose.
