Suprises and Letdowns of the season so far

Disappointments:

1. Honda - their bike sucks and it was made for only one of their riders. It seems many Honda riders are looking elsewhere. Hayden doesn't fit on the RC212V. Melandri is mad b/c he says HRC promised Gresini better equipment. The Roberts squad didn't even get the engine until the end of last season, so they have no development at all.

2. Suzuki - they looked so good in all preseason tests and yet they are teasing everyone like last year. Vermuelen won but he could have won a couple last year too, if it had rained more. Hopkins finally got his first podium, again that could have happened just as easily last year.

3. Capirossi - what they hell Capi? Ducati Marlboro would have a 100 point lead if it wasn't for his poor riding. He's one of my favorites, but this is ridiculous.

4. 800cc's - BORING! Last season it seemed like any rider on his gaime had a chance to bring home a win. This year, it doesn't seem that way at all.

Suprises:

Stoner - I really thought his first season would be like Gibby all over again. But he has been impressive instead of disappointing.

Bridgestone - Better than Michelin

I gotta disagree. Especially after today's race, but look at the season overall. 3 different winners on 3 different bikes, two of them are debut winners. Almost half the grid has been on the podium. The tyre war has stepped up and despite these things being in their infancy, far from thier prime, we're seeing some very close races. And it's not all about wins. A Pramac Ducati got on the podium. A Tech 3 Yamaha on DUNLOPS was leading a race. That's like a fat kid winning an olympic sprint medal. I think theres been plenty of action this year, and plenty of riders are taking opportunities for glory.

That said, these things dont roar like 990s did.
