That all depends on who you are asking. Some peeps are not even sure Stoner said anything at all. Are you even sure this thread actually exists?

A reasonable and civilised post .....well done. Out of all the people that have actually stated they would like to change their attitude towards riders after Sics tragic passing you seem to be the only guy that has so far been trying so I applaud you.



In all seriousness I am quite happy for someone to prove me wrong. No really. If you can show me beyond reasonable doubt that I am mistaken I will acknowledge that without any qualms.



Problem on forums like this is that people often argue about hypothetical scenarios that dont have a right or wrong answer....



Anyway as far as extracting a bikes potential goes so far Stoner is the only guy who can lay claim that he was able to push the Ducati to its ultimate performance threshold...you only need to look to his teamates as a performance indicator. Rossi himself has admitted he either cant (doesnt have the ability) or wont (doesnt have the cajones) to push the Ducati to the same extent...no shame in that. Stoner is a freak. Rossi is an all time great. Lets just leave it at that.



Since Stoner has entered international bike racing he has never finished behind a team mate in 125, 250, 990 or 800cc formulas....that may change next year as Dani is a fantastic racer and will offer Casey a huge challenge. He just needs the stars to align in a single season - he has the talent to finally get a title, he just needs the luck.

honestly man, i think this will make the board just look mighty stupid. a couple of guys who cannot stomach slight criticism of their hero and 2 brits (one of them which is hard to understand to say the least )that are obsessed with criticizing stoner at every opportunity,even if its really about nothing and messing with australians because one of those pesky criminals beat your hero.





i suggest everbody involved takes a break from using the words "rossi" and "stoner" in the next couple of months.it seems we just can't behave ourselves

How exactly have you determined that Stoner pushed it to its 'ultimate performance threshold'?? I see what you are getting at, but all you've really said is that he was the most successful rider on that particular bike, there is no need to dress it up

Rossi has pushed to bike plenty, his crash rate shows us that clearly. But it doesn't matter how hard Rossi pushes, that has never been the issue and to suggest it is belittles both riders.

To be fair he didn't have a team mate in 02, 05 or 06. That is 3 of his first 5 years in GP racing, making up more than half of the time before Casey really found his feet

Out of the multitude of people replying to one of the lames posts in powerslide history only three people (Chopperman, Basspete and Jumkie) believe this is a huge story that deserves attention. The entire rest of the forum are Neo-boppers with zero intelligence who like to suck Stoners .... and cant be trusted to make an unbiased assesment while they are giving Casey a gobbie.

Michaelm who is probably the least biased member on the forum and who has staunchly defended ALL riders from petty attacks such as this one is now suddenly labelled a Neo-bopper becuse he also fails to see how this is even worthy of criticism or why it is even being discussed at all.



Well I for one am happy to live in this "alternate reality" as a "Neo-bopper" with the rest of the forum....you three are welcome to reside in never never land. Good luck.

i appreciate when people try to be objective about certain topics but what i appreciate even more is when somebody that holds some sort of grudge against a rider is man enough to admit it to himself that this will inevitably spoil his posts



no matter the headlines, the past few weeks it seems a couple of guys here(that is including what you call "neo-boppers") are obsessed with finding fault with some rider and to be honest,it spoils the forum.

Sydney's got waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better beaches than Bondi.



Wattamolla beach in the Royal National Park is a perfect example.....stunning. Ill bring my shark repellant and we can meet there

Hell yes, a sensational lille beach, as are those further north in the park as well even if they are far more dangerous in terms of currents etc (they average 1 drowning per summer period).



We are definitely spoilt for beaches, I mean, ours even have reals sand

Make no mistake, this is most certainly a new evolution of fan. Its quite typical, and certainly a pattern of human nature. I've made several analogies to real life examples already. You have abandoned all previous standards and logic because your boy is the top dog, it happens to the weak who's principles are based on the shifting of fortunes. And quite ugly I might add.
