Stoner mentioned the Moto2&3 Motorhomes because it was the only way his family could afford to get him racing was parking their Motorhome in Puig's yard and at the track. Remember that he came up the hard way with no silver spoon.

Stoner is an anarchist. He does not tow the mainstream line. People who do can never understand those that turn their back on all that 'this' world has to offer.

These people want to dissect ever explanation in isolation and fail to see the bigger picture. It is not about Moto 2 motorhomes. It is about the business, ethics and motivations of the sport and the people in it.

In other words he is a trouble maker !

Yeah there goes your generic ........ reply ( but he said she said bla bla) . I asked one simple question. Why is stoner bothered where moto2 and 3 park their motor-homes. Hardly sitting in judgement is it mike? Why cant you deal with the post in question, you always got to harp on about other posts irrelevant to the one in question. You really have turned into a ....... old lady mike !

As I said earlier in this thread, I don't think stoner wanted to be loved, I think he wanted to be treated fairly, and he seems to be generalising this to there being a lack of fairness generally, which is naive perhaps but not necessarily untrue or reason for derision ; lex explained this aspect much better than I can, as he does (EDIT so did Mick D; I hadn't read his post).

If you actually know people who make millions of dollars a year as I obviously do (I don't personally know anyone who makes tens of millions) it is quite common for them to decide they have enough money or have achieved enough and give it away or drastically reduce how much they work. And they often do it because they no longer want the pressure, having handled it for a long time, or no longer want to work killingly hard, as is generally necessary to be paid that sort of money. Stoner has done it at a young age, but he also has been under pressure for a longer time than most, his family having literally bet the farm on him when he was 14 or 15. As mick doohan says the fact that valentino could keep his motivation going to perform at such a high level for so long is what is most remarkable among many things remarkable about him, and as I have consistently said stoner was never going to match him. Mick himself did it for a long time, but as far as I know had a normal teenage life and I don't think competed consistently at the elite level internationally until his twenties.

I own a beautiful co-op apartment in a highrise with a magnificent view from high above the city.

Ask Cali KId - he's been here.

I guess you didnt get the irony that you support the occupy movement which is fighting against a money and power system that you suddenly deny.

A system that created a global economic meltdown that led to the creation of CRT's which in turn led to the reason for Stoners retirement.

Money, Power, and .....

Oh Knockers! Truly the baffled king of the false dichotomy (For this week anyway). I have no objection to people having money. OWS is about protecting the middle-class (like myself) from billionaire corporate raiders and cooked speculators. Any money I have - I earned. Wall St. isn't responsible for Stoner's retirement. Dorna, Ducati and the press that alienated him are to blame. Even before the meltdown sponsorship issues and the bean-counter mentality were pulling the rug out from under MGP as we know it, as a result of big tobacco's departure. Big Tobacco money had the major players in MGP drunk with sponsorship funds creating a wide chasm of financial and technical inequality between those teams and the rest.

Any alternative is preferable to the kind of self-loathing that fuels the antagonistic pitbull mentality embodied by some

of the folks around here with poor self-image issues. Witness Ganz's avatar, just one of many prime examples to be found 'round these parts.
