Yup...the summer break is rough.

Luckily I'll be passing the time on a private beach in Guam.

The summer holiday in Japan is nice and long, and happens to fall during the MotoGP break. Couldn't be better.

At least you guys get decent MotoGP rounds to attend. Motegi ain't all that great.

It isn't bad. I mean, it's MotoGP! However after having been to Laguna I have to say that the atmosphere just isn't the same. Some of my friends over here who've been to the big Euro rounds (Mugello, etc.) agree. It's a much more chill and kinda almost businesslike atmosphere at Motegi. Sure there are MotoGP fans here, but they aren't the crazies with 46 tattooed on their foreheads like you find at other rounds. They, and the whole event is much more laid-back.

If you're in the Philippines it might not be a bad idea since it's close, but if you can fork out the dough go to Laguna, Mugello, or Jerez!

i was thinking of going to mugello next year, to be honest, but i don't know if someone would care to meet me there, and go with me to the race. it's mugello, so there's a strong possibility that i'll get swallowed up by the crowd

well, re: motegi. i was also thinking of going, however, i met someone who has been to japan last year and she says it'll be hard for me if i don't have a local to tour/accompany me there since few knows how to speak english and that transpo to the place is hard + accommodation...

I'd say do Mugello!!

If you can speak English you can book a hotel and find your way through Tokyo, but yeah it'd probly be nice to have somebody help you find a bus to/from the track.

I'm gonna be riding there and camping next year so I wouldn't be of much help! However, let me know if you do decide to come and I'll help you however I can.
