What's you're point?

It will be a spanish sponsored team and from what I've read, and they are looking for a spanish rider.

I know, but you should be asking if Aspar speaks Japanese.

That is why i think it's time for Caparossi to go. He is old now, so for him it's not a matter of passion anymore that drives him (although of course, as a racer he will always have the passion), BUT it's a matter of bringing home a paycheck, that is all he knows... it's his 9 to 5 job. But IF they were to bring an old timer, i would like to see Alex Barros again, the guy pushes hard everytime he is on a bike regardless of his age.

I think the age thing is bollocks, look at Bayliss. I want good riders in MotoGP I don't care if they are 15 or 50 as long as they can ride at a competitive level.

I don't know why Barros had to leave he was doing a good job in the D'Antin Ducati. Checa might do OK, I mean he as much deserving as any other WSBK rider or 250cc that are still free to sign a contract.

I agree with you fully on this one Teomolca. Bayliss is a perfect example. WSBK, that has much more even machinery then MotoGP, has mostly veteran riders dominating the series. I remember a few people on this forum at the end of last year stating Rossi was getting "old".

Age doesn't matter when you are talking about Aussies.

Spaniards age extra fast. Remember Checa's move on Neukirchner. That was a move a child would have pulled---a sure fire sign Checa is already senile.

Dude if it wasn't for Sete we would be talking about Capirex the 06 champ. He is way better than raccoon eyes barros and even your precious shinya.

Max Biaggi has denied rumours of a MotoGP return, riding a third Kawasaki for Jorge Martinez 'Aspar'.

Biaggi - a former triple 500cc/MotoGP World Championship runner-up who left grand prix racing under something of a cloud at the end of 2005, following a bitter split with Repsol Honda - has spent the last two seasons racing in the World Superbike Championship.

Since leaving grand prix racing, Biaggi has frequently been linked with Kawasaki's MotoGP project and - with his 2009 plans still to be confirmed - it was only a matter of time before the Roman was mentioned in connection with the to-be-announced Aspar seat.

"This morning I have read something that I have to deny, the rumours saying that I could have gone back to MotoGP," Max wrote on his official website today (Tuesday). "Personally I have never contacted any Team or Team Manager, not even Mr. Martinez. I will stay very focused on the last three races of the Championship and very soon guys, you will have my program for the future."

Rumours in Spain say the options for Aspar's kawa are either Alex Debón (250cc veteran) or Rodriguez (Spanish Supersport champion, ex-125cc rider).

In a recent interview, Aspar said he had offered the ride to Bautista, who decided to stay in 250, and to Elias, who decided he preferred returning to Gresini rather than Aspar's two years contract.

To what Aspar has admitted being in talks with Gibernau and Debon... and other Spanish riders he did not name.

And as the three year contract with Kawasaki should be signed in Motegi, I wonder if the Japanese will be too impressed if he does not have a rider.

Checa could then be a wise move as he quite liked in Japan after his results at Suzuka 8 hours.

Teo, must he force the ride on a Spaniard only? Or is he looking for the best possible talent to fill the shoes of a rare and scarce MotoGP seat?

It sounds to me the guy is hell bent on a Spanish guy regardless. Makes me wish we had some American owners out there. Come on Jordan.

It's not first of all owners you want, but sponsors. But then again a high profiled US owner surly wouldn't hurt the hunt for a huge US corp. sponsor.
