Ugg...well congrats to Dungey, he earned it. Damn that was a technical track. Haven't seen any updates on Villopoto yet, hope it's nothing that will keep him from competing in the outdoor series.
Carefull what you wish for. I've been hoping for RD & RV to race head to head all year and finally it happens. I never expected it to end so badly. Villopoto broke his tib fib and had surgery to repair it so the outdoors are now in doubt.
The same jump crappy jump sent Tedesco to the hospital with a collapsed lung. I looked at that jump when they did the track simulation and my thought was why would they put that there.
It seems like mx always is a war of attrition. The last man standing gets to hoist the trophy.
Congrats to Dungey for only making 1 mistake all year. Unfortunately Villo made 2 and that was the difference.
That block pass that put both Ryans in the dirt was great. You knew whoever could get back on the bike 1st would win the championship. I thought Villo had it once he got up and I couldn't wait to see the fireworks when Dungey came in 2nd. He's been a bit pissy all year about minor .... and I'm sure this would have set him off.
I'm gutted not only for Villo but it really would have been great if those 2 had to battle it out for the last 4 weeks. Now with 3 rounds to go both championships are wrapped up. The only thing left to look foward to is the east west shootout.
