If it was the other way around, I'd still think of it as racing incident. I'd have no problems if stoner apologized with his helmet on. lots of mr. fantastics in this thread.

Accident: Rossi's fault & I don't think anyone has questioned that, his desperation to run at the front got the better of him.

Stoner clapping: So what, I've seen worse, MUCH worse.

Marshal bias/lazyassness: Can't make up my mind, it is worth an enquiry though, especially as it seemed to apply to more than one rider.

Handbags in the pits post race: There is no law about speaking your mind, fair play, might want to think about when you speak your mind though. In my opinion accusing someone of using the media after putting on a show like that for the cameras is...ungraceful?

EDIT: Then again I am reminded of a quote from JB "We are not here to be liked", six of one as they say.

Roll on Portugal if it is half as entertaining as Jerez.

Fair call, he is allowed to think it was a media show, but having got his minor dig in I agree it wasn't graceful, or necessary, to say anything to further justify himself; I haven't seen the quote so I don't know whether he said something along these lines unvolunteered or agreed with a journalist.

sadly, this thread is more active than CLASSIC race threads of the past years, and that's a damn shame

I learnt this last year, We usually see less interest for those races Where Rossi wins or performs at his best, not Rossi fans dont care for those threads. and instead we see this everytime he doesn't do his best. It's only about who likes to see or say what.

Who predicted the standing would look like this after winter testing? Yeah, only round 2, but I suppose that's why they line up, eh.

Oh, and here is the event speed chart. The winner was one of the slowest. Not sure what that means, but I'm sure Rob could explain it.

lol....you still banging on about top speed charts? you hang your whole stoner argument on them.

If you think the sum of an effective powerful engine is top speed alone then pffff.......you can lead a horse to water and all that.
<

Lets get a moto2 bike on the motogp grid shall we? If everything is so black and white in terms of engine power?

Nah thought not.....nevermind have a cheeseburger.

lol....you still banging on about top speed charts?

Those pesky speed charts, eh. Ah yes, because top speed and power have nothing to do with eachother, right? So hard to make them jive with your "its all about power" argument, eh?

You hang your whole Rossi argument on them.

If you think the sum of an effective powerful engine is lap time alone then pfff...you have not even the intelligence of a horse.
<

Eureka! That's it. Lets line up a Moto2 bike against a MotoGP bike, that really makes your argument sane.

Thanx, I will.

Typical response devoid of any substance.

1, Top speed charts have something to do with power on a basic level, however your attempts to use it as a "be all and end all" of engine power is so flawed its funny.

2, No...i see top speed charts as moot, when considering exit speed its merely an unimportant stat. My argument is based on engine power "as a whole". See point 3.

3, Who mentioned lap times? i see your trying to avoid tackling the simple stuff as usual. I'll say it again: "If you think the sum of an effective powerful engine is top speed alone then pffff.....you can lead a horse to water and all that"

Hint:

There is more to a fast engine than simply top speed. I wont spell out the other areas to consider.....you cant be that dumb. Well....
<

4, No its insane, but the argument that engine power isnt important should make the result not so clear cut?

5, Have another cheeseburger.

Strings, do you see them? You are my puppet.

Lets dumb it down again for your sake, as you are obviously confused about your own premise. You tried to say, Rossi would have shown so much better at Qatar this year; if like in 07, he would have had more power to produce more straight line speed. Remember? Then everybody with a brain said, you are full of ..... Remember? In fact, you went on to over simplify your premise, which was comical, and I proceeded to made fun of it for its completely hypothetical theoretical in-a-vacuum devoid of all real life application scenario. Remember?

Try employing lucid, rational and objective thinking when

replying to posts instead of irrelevant statistics, insults,

sophist obfuscation and pedantry.

Nice work Kesh. You should change your name to Scrabbleboy.

That baby gazelle is obviously not back pedaling jums...and you just supported rob's argument..that cheetah will catch that gazelle due to having a more powerful engine!

I figured he'd have to go look up all those words in a dictionary

and get a headache; after which he'd find someone else to

annoy. So far it's working.
