Great. I wonder if this makes Mladin uncomfortable; it should.

I think we said this about other Hayden and Duhamel, and both of them were way at the back during Laguna last year. Spies will still need to get used to the GP Suzuki, and Bridgestones. I expect he will go round well, but will get beat by most of the GP regulars.

I agree with Alex...Why would MM be uncomfortable?

Matt got his shot at GPs some 15 years ago, and so far as I can remember he has not taken any other opportunity to jump from AMA to GPs again or WSBK. Why? He's got no real competition in AMAs, nor has he had any real competition in the last 10 years besides Spies.

If anything it might give Matt some comfort to know he can back to taken it easy on the Suzuki barkalounger for yet another 'Impressive' YoshCuP title win in 2009.

Be interesting to see how he goes against CV at Laguna, cause CV's always been pretty quick there.

I look forward to him being on the grid! Talented rider and will add value to the races! More riders on the grid at any races is a good thing ... especially if they have talent!

I think he will go very well!

Roger Haystack finished in the points, in fact top American at The Guna last year..not too shaby on a Kaw he never really rode much..I think Speis will test the 800 a couple times before then (i hope)..Duhamel, well he's what 106 years old?

Also Ben is wayyyyy faster than Roger...

This off the Spies topic...but here goes...

Nicky Hayden won the AMA title in 2002 (fair and square with the most points at the of the season). M

Mat was injured before Daytona 200 in 2002, and had to miss it, he then suffered from that and various mechanicla problems throughout the season...

Unfortunatley, all of Mat's bad luck came at once that year, but I would not say he did not get his ... handed to him...

It would be like saying Rossi got his handed to him in 2000 and 2006...

Nicky didnt just win the points in 02 like he did in 06.He had a dominant season and layed everybody to waste, not just Mladin. It wasnt even close.Hayden won 9 races and won the title by 37 points.Mladin finished in 7th.It wasnt a suprise either, the last half of 2001,you could see it coming.
