Agreed RockGod....hence my post about MotoRossi GP series. Spies possibly on a BMW in WSBK. Now what if Hayden and Dovi go to WSBK? Even crazier, what if Stoner comes out at the end of 2012 and says I changed my mind, I'm going to race in WSBK!

Well then I would say WSBK is going to be one HELL of a racing series!!! Cause if that does happen, and there are only a few talented riders who are at the upper end of the stick, GP is gonna be relegated to a total has been series.

But BMW just announced they are folding their factory team so I wonder what is going to happen with them. I know Ducati wants to come back next year as a factory team, and Checa isn't sold on the Panigale, so maybe Hayden goes to ride that bike? Sheesh who knows at this point. I would bet though if all those riders including some others come to SBK, Colin Edwards may actually have a chance at winning a GP race, lol.

Yes, of course it bothers me that my boy St. Nick is matching his teammate yet has remained relatively invisible. And Yes brotha, "debunked". We heard that Rossi could develop a Vespa into a space shuttle BEFORE he hopped on a Duc. We heard he could ride around any problems Casey was experiencing BEFORE he hopped on a Duc. We heard that if Casey and Rossi were teammates that Rossi would rider circles around him BEFORE he jump on Stoner's bike and could NOT muster even a top 10 in Valencia (after that exact Ducati had podiumed the previous day). If Ducati have done nothing for Rossi in the last 18 months, then Casey and Nicky rode the same bike since day one they jumped on it, were even the overrated Nicky was able to muster a string of dry race 4th. My buddy Mdub has championed that Casey develops backwards (though I've never had the energy to debate him) it would stand to reason Rossi has developed in hyper-worpspeed reverse OR as Rossi fans would like to describe it "Ducati have done nothing for Rossi."

Again, 2011 has debunked the belief that Rossi is any better or worse than the top 5 riders in the world, in addition it has proven to those willing and able to see that without his many advantages and exclusive influence in the sport, his title story would have been vastly different. Now he will surely be propped up again. Any race wins or podiums on a factory M1 will be ... hallow as many of his titles in my book in that they are directly from the league script. Dorna have been actively worked as Rossi's personal agent, this is not authentic, and neither have been or will be his results. What separates WWF and GP? Carmelo=McMahon.

Lean on me!!!!!when youre not strong!!!

I hope Rossi stays on the Duc and tries to really make it work and salvage some competition. If he goes back to Yamaha it is admission of defeat and a let down.

Staying at Duc would certainly retain some tiny level of credibility with me and a very small base of GP fans, but if anything has taught us about VR's stint at Ducati the last 18 month, it is that the vast majority will not see it as an "admission of defeat and let down" if Rossi goes to Yamaha. It will go down as it has already, a complete Ducati failure and nothing more. If fact, Ducati will continue to be villified for holding Rossi back these last two years. Ducati must be loving the fact they discarded their prototype DNA to make Rossi a YamaDuc that was good enough to be almost good enough. Dumb .......s couldn't produce a twin-spar bike in 6 months to compete with the Japanese who develop theirs since dirt was invented.

Rossi not winning on Duc proves that machine means a lot more than Rossi fans will ever admit. Dovi deserves that factory M1 NOT Rossi, no amount of rationalizations by those making the case here hold water. VR has been one big fail at Ducati: nothing his fans or experts claimed came to fruition, in fact, quite the opposite! Development king, debunked, best rider ever, debunked, could hardly stay ahead of his "overrated" teammate, and "dastard" satellite. The lesson of 2011 proved this. The lesson of 2013, when Rossi has been bailed out and the sport force feeds us Rossi back to factory equipment will again confirm this fact. Rossi has the titles in the same way Vince McMahon issued them. Give a good rider every possible advantage to win, if thats not enuf, give them special tires (sns), if thats not enuf, make a spec tire. When he ..... up and goes away pouting, prop him back up artificially. Its just a matter of time now before the announcement is made. VR is bigger than the sport, and we all either cheer it or begrudgingly accept it. GP=WWF.

Bang on,good post.

Nah, the Duc is way closer now and looks to get stronger. I think Vale would do best stickin with it, and making it happen, especially since Audi brought in some money and help, they want to see him do well.

No, I've maintained the 06 title was off script. Every attempt was made and given for Rossi to win that title, even an attack by Nicky's own teammate. After two years of unintended consequences, Dorna would not have it and replaced Rossi SNS by making everybody ride his Bridgestones (this after of course the long standing tire war was magically not longer relevant like this year's rookie rule; Carmelo could not risk his boy not winning another title).
I found this one especially for you

Thats what I just said. On top of that, no VR at Duc and the brand will be irrelevant in GP. It will get about as much air time as the top CRTs.

I already have one thanks. Mine has a bit more tin foil though.

An interesting restructuring to be sure...the current factory BMW Motorad squad being shut down in favor of the BMW Italia team to essentially take on that role...Ben is based in Italy. ???

Ducati don't deserve to be in Motogp. The stuff Rossi is complaining about (lack of development from the factory) is the same stuff stoner complained about. Remember stoner saying that he had the same bike at the end of the year as at the beginning. If duc are not going to match the jap manufacturers they should not be there.

Stoner failed on the duc from 2008 to 2010 in that he couldn't win the championship - his goal. He jumps on a Honda and wins pointing out the obvious deficiency of the duc. What is being debunked at the moment is those who put stoner on a pedastel above the others. It seems he can't ride anything and his teammate is doing a better job than him at the moment.

i knocked Ducati and others do BUT lets not forget they aint Honda Yamaha ££$$

looking at it like that they aint done bad compared to what Kwak and Zuki did in recent times

True but it means that their effort is marginally better than the crts. They caught the japs with their pants down in 07 (yes there was a lot of skill on stoners part) but then were out developed shortly thereafter by the japs once the japs lined up the Bridgestone tyres.

I don't think there is an easy answer. To win a championship these days you just have to be on a Honda or Yamaha.
