Not sure what this means but it don't look good to me and he has the nerve to say the races aren't good, well if he got his ... up to the front they might be better.

From his twitter

Big things are happening from the horses mouth! not the Internet sites haha. Gonna be fun that's for sure ill keep ya updated!

I thought I'd be dramatic like all the sites and reporters are haha maybe nothing changes except to be back were we are meant to be!

“@Markthebike: @BenSpies11 WSBK??? Besides if the press isn't dramatic the actual racing in #MotoGP sure isn't” agreed haha

Ben's got nobody to blame really. I like him but he just can't justify retaining that seat any longer...

I think it would be unfair for ben to keep his seat. I like him and we all know he is fast, but there are so many other talented riders that deserve a shot. With Spies off then a spot could open for someone else.

Also, I think Dovi has proven that he should be on the factory seat, he really gets ripped off (By repsol and then possibly this). A team with him and lorenzo would be a force to be reckoned with.

If the vacant seat at Yamaha were to be awarded today (absent the deal rumored with Rossi), it should go to Dovi. That being said, the season has many races to go. Dovi has delivered. Few things are fair, particularly expensive sport/marketing decisions, but at this point, fairness point clearly at Dovi.

Despite how well Dovi has gone Ben has never looked phased about his place at Yamaha but now Rossi has been linked to it you get this, Hmmm looks over for him. Ben doesnt deserve that ride anymore and it should go to Dovi, has Rossi earnt that ride? not a ....... chance.

Ignore the troll

In all honesty, I don't think Rossi's results over the past 2 seasons warrant a factory ride with Yamaha or Honda, not above Dovi in any case. His history before that does perhaps, but then if I were Yamaha (or Honda), that history would also weigh heavily against Rossi. Thanfully for him, I do not call the shots.

Aha but the way you stated is a world away from "not a ....... chance".

I don't understand why you say he was ripped off by Repsol. He had a two-year contract, it expired. He forced HRC to run a three-man team, despite the logistical and engineering difficulties that entailed, when they had offered him a full-factory ride at a satellite team on a better deal than he had at Repsol.

He screwed his own pooch.

He is talented, of that there's no doubt, but he isn't smart. You don't .... up the business of the biggest guy in the sport and then expect that they fall over themselves to find you a new ride.

He could have arranged himself a cushy little number at Gresini or LCR with a full factory ride and a decent term contract, but he let his pride get in the way.

IMO HRC did what any sensible business would have done - not renewed the contract of an employee that made life difficult for them.

Whilst i agree with your statement to a certain extent, i'm pretty sure Rossi will be handing Dovi his ... next year in which case his factory ride will seem entirely justified.

I think his innate talent and the acknowledged dysfunction in the Ducati camp would offset his poor form for the last two years. Unless you really think that if he had a few hours under his belt on the M1 he couldn't spank Spies, Dovi and Crutchlow like he was their daddy?

While he has been immensely lucky in his rides and team, until Ducati, there is no doubt in my mind that on the right piece of kit, he is the consummate alien.

He might or he might not. I think at this point in time, if you'd put them on the same factory spec bike Yamaha, I'd say the odds are about 70/30 that Rossi would come out on top. But, from the perspective of either Yamaha or Honda, I would not want to have Rossi because I don't think the possible negatives in terms of PR (and the resentment I would still hold) outweigh the possible positives in terms of performance.

I'm unsure what negative PR would come from Rossi winning races on your kit...

It would be devastating for Ducati, that's for certain. If I were Audi I would offer him a lot more money to stay.

Two reasons. 1) if Rossi wins, it's Rossi. If Rossi looses, it's the material. Well, to many fans at least. 2) He threw Honda under the bus publicly after leaving, he did not show too much respect towards Yamaha upon leaving and the with Ducati it's a complete clusterfuck. In all three cases, he has managed to incite widespread outrage of his fans against these manufacturers. In the case of Ducati probably unintented. Edit: nevermind the political correctness if he does indeed take Marlboro with him, than he's ....... them over with full knowledge and intent.

Umm 46 or so wins and 4 championships with the Yam? Yeah Id say he deserves it.. If not for him the yam would still suck like it did pre Rossi years.

Those wins mean nothing next year, yes he developed that bike and won on it but that was years ago and he has done nothing at Ducati. has he earnt a seat on the best ride in the last two years ? NO.if it was anyone else it wouldnt be happening,Dovy deserves that ride on current form.

Most here are saying Spies doesn't deserve a factory ride based on half a season of results (lets not factor in his bad luck results); but by the same logic are saying Rossi does, how the hell does Rossi deserve a promotion to thee best or near thee best factory seat? As Dovi said, this is not a meritocracy. Otherwise, Cal who hasn't stood on the podium wouldn't have a 2 year factory offer, and Rossi would be left with no other options than to stay put at Ducati. If Spies seat is all about 'what have you done for me lately' then please explain the Rossi 'deserves' to be at Yamaha.

We all know/should know its complete ........; but very few can or are willing to admit it (some may not have the capacity). That Yamaha seat might even be subsidized by Dorna according to Noyes. Rossi gets Ben's seat and the sport loses what little if any credibility and legitimacy it has/had. Rossi 'chose' to go to Ducati, now the series is bailing him out. and falling on themselves to do it. And the "fans of the sport" are cheering this on. Tune in to WWF peeps.

i'd completely understand if yamaha were to choose rossi as he probably has another couple of years at 100% in him and we all know that he can win races and championships.i think there is no sensible debate over whether rossi or spies can be the better rider on the m1.as much as i like spies i can't really count him as a title favorite for 2013 or regular race winner , but i sure as hell can with rossi!

what i would find outrageous is if yamaha were forced/bribed /whatever by dorna to take rossi , i think most sane people that care about the sport most would agree.
