Spies ays he will race

Spies is class all the way around. He is a racer and if he thinks he can perform. Let him race. Pedrosa came back and couldn't race. If Spies knows his ankle can support..let him dice with Dovi again.





The Shoulder...Yeah.I knew that was B.S. after Motegi. Rossi is the GOAT but his excuses for getting it handed to him are old.

As A Ducati guy. I hope Rossi set's the world on fire once again. But...Stoner,Lorenzo and a Healthy Pedrosa will keep him at bay in the 1st group. Dovi, Spies, Simoncelliand Hayden may give him a rough up in the chasing pack.



Next Year will be a very Tough one for Rossi: The bike, the shoulder...time to come up to speed on the new bike etc.. The lack of front end feel....

A couple of bites. Keshav, I wasn't serious. I was just illustrating that in he mind of a hater a crash such as that is a mental breakdown - like Rossi clearly had a 'mental breakdown' at mugello. I didn't honestly for one second think spies had cracked under pressure. Maybe it's because I'm not a hater of spies.

Agree, but you do realize that a certain brand of peeps here think Stoner's crashes are mental breakdowns?

So do you believe JB was BSing about the shoulder as well? Do you remember when Rossi said he didn't do well in a race earlier in the season because he didn't get the bike setup right. JB said the telemetry showed he was braking earlier into each corner and trying to make it up by being faster out but was spinning it up too much as a result. Even if you don't believe Rossi I had always thought jb was pretty straight talking. Rossi was not wanting to blame his shoulder at the time.

I probably thought that a while ago. Now I think it's his win it or bin it way of riding.

Thats out of context and you know it When he crashes after taking all the other things into account like kicking out at rider's on track, crying to the press, going fishing instead of racing ect ect what other conclusions would anybody with a brain cell draw ?

Woods, I use to think very highly of Burgess; that was until this year. He questioned Stoner’s integrity because in his words, he looked to be riding for Honda already. His reasoning was that because it appeared to him Stoner was not pushing the Ducati. This was almost to a tea echoed by Rossi, when he said; he didn't think Stoner was riding the Ducati to its limit. Amazing, eh. It’s like they had a meeting and said, ok, what's the spin of the day for mind games? They came up with this and then started to distribute the propaganda via interviews.



I know these guys are just men, and sometimes there is an agenda to push, believe it or not. I asked Burgess about this at Indy. I asked him without the benefit of seeing Stoner's telemetry, how did he determine that Casey was not pushing it, but rather felt the need to question the man's integrity by saying he looked to be riding for Honda. He looked at me with this incredulous look, like, who the .... do you think you are. Hahaha. Anyway, his answer didn’t convince me, he basically said, by looking at Stoner on the track, and he referred to a race where Stoner followed Rossi in the penultimate laps while not attempting to pass, yes, according to him the smoking gun was the absence of Casey attempting a last ditch pass on Rossi. To this I replied, he had already crashed in practice, and he had accumulated a few stellar DNF crashes, so perhaps the better strategy was that Stoner finish the race in one piece. He shook his head, and so did I. I still think the man is a legend in the sport and is perhaps the best at what he does, but like the man he serves, they are human and susceptible to ego syndrome.

Because Rossi doesn't complain right? Rossi complains in every post race interview he doesn't win. .... 07 was a case study on a man complaining every event. I suppose Stoner's "mystery" illness was as "mysterious" at Rossi's shoulder injury, one that seemed to ebb and flow, until he got what he wanted from Dorna. Why not, it worked when he threatened retirement, I'm sure it would work again in threatening to miss a few races. And where did this play out, oh yeah, in the press. Anybody with one brain cell can see through the public posturing.
