I have been to MotoGP in Indianapolis, Mugello, and Laguna Seca. This year (2011) my wife and I are going to MotoGP in Spain. We are trying to decide which one. It is between Catalunya, Aragon, and Valencia.

I want to see if anyone has any opinions or experiences with Spain and the MotoGPs. I am going to spend a couple of weeks in Spain after. The decision comes down to:

Which has the best race set up (i.e. viewing, infield activities, etc),

Which area has the best tourist stuff and food,

Any other ideas on how to make this decision.

I am new to this forum, but LOVE MOTOGP. Please HELP!!!!

Thanks....

Kevin

Jerez is the best Spanish GP so if you can go to that one.

Your reasoning being? Out of interest, not trying to say you're wrong as I've not been to any of the Spanish rounds.

I must admit that Valencia is not my fave track and Aragon is in the middle of nowhere which doesn't sound like what kevweez is after.

if i remember didn't Kropot say recently in a thread get to Catalunya its the best by far for location, facilities, transport.etc?

Go with that
<

BTW Welcome aboard

If I had that hard choice id opt for Aragon because it looks so bad ... plus it was Voted GP of the year! I cant give you any advice because i've never been to spain

+2^^^ the in the middle of no where is a little decieving. i read an article which said that aragon was only the middle of no where for city types. the town of alcainz is very historic and quite beautiful & not that far from barcelona. go for aragon!

I remember there being a lake with a campground right next to the track. Google mapped the area doesn't seem to BFE(google it). +3 for Aragon!

Thanks for all the input, We are trying to sort out the dates that would work for us, so it looks like I may not have much of a choice, since Valencia looks like the best possible open date for me, work wise.

I was kind of thinking Aragon myself, as it was new and everyone seemed to like it. I will keep everyone updated. Love the site, really great.

And I couldnt be more excited about the test coming up. Gooo 46

Motorland Aragon.

I live in Zaragoza, an hour from the place. If in the middle of nowhere is 2 hours from Barcelona, 2 hours from Valencia and 1 hour from Zaragoza, then my suggestion is to stay home, Spain is in the middle of nowhere too!

Of the 4 big tracks here in Spain, Motorland for me had the best racing setting. It might not me the nuts ruckus of Jerez, but I don't go to the races for the party I go for the racing. Nightlife is very available in Alcaniz and I can guarantee that the nightlife in a small Spanish town will dwarf that of most large US cities.

There is a Motorland Aragon thread I posted with some pictures of the area. If you have any questions or something I can help you out with send a PM.

In the back of my mind I am telling myself to keep this track to myself, it really is a jem..
