I have refrained from replying to this thread untill I had time to check this out.

I have all last years races on my hard drive except this one (I deleted it as a mark of respect to Tomi).

However I have a friend whom still has it on his. I contacted him last night & asked him to review the end of the race & see if theres any truth to the accusation towards the BBC. Whom I must stress I have my own grievences with regarding moto gp.

To what I can work out after a phone conversation last night is:

Firstly all the commentators were in a state of shock, their voice tones were significantly different after the accident.

Secondly the first thing that was said from the said commentators was a message of condolence to the family of Tomi & how all in moto gp would miss him.

Regarding Mr Parrish. yes he did speak of scotts injuries but not excesively & he also spent roughly the same time speaking about de angelis who was actually the first person to hit Tomi.

After reading the attachment from Mr Shupe I also noticed it was only posted 15 hours ago. Are you & that poster one in the same?

Anyway my conclusion is that you have some sort of grievence towards Parrish & the only reason you appeared here is because no other site will tollerate your drivel.

As much as I would like to see Parish hung high by the ...... I affraid your accusations appear unjust & this will not be the time.

I will be reviewing the after race talk later today & if my opinion is changed after watching it first hand it shall be posted forthwith.

I also must hasten to add that the BBC paid a fine tribute to Tomi at the sports personality of the year as they did to all fallen sportsmen of the year. I know this is fact because it actually brought a tear to my eye.

Im sorry but that is a load of nonsense I can clearly remember Steve Parrish clearly being more concerned for Scott Redding than showing any sympathy towards Shoya.

more Bollocks / trolling and flaming on Powerslide how much can we have on here

Just look at the last week alone

Im not bollocking/trolling or flaming. This is the truth. I want people to be aware of how badly the BBC treated Shoya's death.

You've made your point, that's what you believe. Pidg is right - start a new thread, different topic

You obviously have a real beef. It's obviously stuck in your gut for some time. It appears you have posted this view in other forums which is good. I admire a man of his own convictions!

NOW PROVE IT !

Exactly! We'll listen, then we will form our opinion (unless your talking about Rossi, then conjecture is enuf "evidence"
<
). You gotta come correct and provide some evidence to back up your rather serious claim. So I'll await Viper posting a link highlighting the concern. Then we can say, uhm yeah, that dude Perish is a piece of ...., OR Viper, you don't know Jack Schitt. Either way, somebody will be stinking like .....

You have to ask yourself if a man like Parrish, a man that came of age as a racer in a very dangerous time, would act like that?

I watched it, & I have no recollection of him being anything but respectful.

How was Webb disrespectful?

When parish interviewed him about it he said summat along the lines of these things happen then started having a laugh and a joke smiling away, I don't remember it properly but i remember thinking he shouldn't really be acting so happy even if he wasn't really bothered.

Well there goes all your credibility.

You come on hear to voice a serious matter, people ask you to produce some evidence, and you retort with sarcasm? Maybe they should "ban" you.

EDIT: Your majesty...

I agree with Jumkie (this time)

Shoya's death was sad - but why did Viper wait until now tp post his feelings on this?

All I am saying is That Steve Parrish felt more sorry for Scott Redding than he did for Tomizawa. Which seemed very dis-respectful.

Viper you are sort of correct.

Parish did show more interest in Reddings injuries DIRECTLY AFTER THE MOTO2 RACE. This was before anyone knew that Tomi had died. IMO he did nothing wrong. As he is a british presenter reporting to the brit public who wanted to know what had happend to whom especialy a british rider. After the Motogp race there was more said in the favour of Tomi as well as all the BBC offering their condolences to Tomi & his family. The only mention of Redding at this time was what injuries he had sustained & whether he would be able to cope with the obvious trauma associated with causing another mans death. This was also said about De angelis whom was the first rider to hit Tomi on that fatefull day. IMO there was no malice or disrespect to Tomi.

If they didn't yet know Tomizawa had died, then they may have wanted to avoid speculating on his condition. They saw the accident; they knew it was a serious situation. You don't want to pronounce a man dead prematurely.

It doesn't look like the original poster's righteous indignation is justified.

Can somebody produce a sound bite or a f-ing video of this? Vipe, that's on you dude.

Im pretty sure if it was as bad as Vipe says it would have been mentioned here.

I was just asked about you. Why do you disappear? Alien abduction? BTW, just so you know, we plan on stopping by your pad (or at very the side of the road) to meet up with you this year on the way up to Laguna.
