im sorry to say i missed the second race ... but race one was hell exciting!
Good work by bayliss AGAIN ... double win.

nice to see Xausy up there again

and a good effort by Brookes in the second race from the sounds of it ... 18th!

good work by Barros to avoid his flaming bike ... hahaha! ... that would be really difficult to jump in leathers and helmet.. it'd be really heavy!
 
It was a great day of racing and the weather was good too. I rode there, stayed until after the GSX-R750 European Cup race, which was moved to the end, and bought a couple of Rossi T-Shirts.

The World Superbike Championship was set in Silverstone this weekend and it was a frilling two races! Troy Bayliss reached 225 Championship points today after winning BOTH races at Silverstone in England. Haga and Toseland both finished in the top 3 for both of the races. Troy Corser and Chris Walker were in seperate nightmares when they kept being over-taken. Chris Walker (who started in 2nd or 3rd), ended the race in 8th place. Troy Corser seemed to switch on, on the final lap of the race when he overtook Rubens Xaus and Chris Walker to retain 6th position. Tomy Hill started on pole but ended up way back in 11th position once the day was out. It now seems that Troy Bayliss is going to wqin the World Championship but the battle for second is starting to heat up between Haga, Corser and Britain's James Toseland.

Race 2 had the same order on the podium so I hear?

Nice to see Haga be consistent, but I beleive Corsers championship is starting to have lots of holes in it.

Nothing against Corser, he`s awsome. But come on! This is Bayliss! This guy was groomed in SBK fighting tooth and neck with Colin Edwards. He`s a black belt big bike master. 3 races to get warmed up, now he hasn`t lost one since. 9/10 races on the podium. (Hes like NH, but he can win

) No respect to Corser and JT, but they don`t stand a snowflakes chance in hell.

Don`t they only do 1 SS race, Katt?

Remember, our Brookes is on a 749R, not the most competitve bike on the grid, and its running tyres that have been developed for Jap 600s. I`d only really be comparing him to the other Duc riders this year. I`m hoping he can perform well and graduate to a Ducati SBK team. Hopefully just in time for that V4 to come around. If he can prove himself he might just take Bayliss`s place as my favourite when Troy retires. But He`d have big shoes to fill.

your a bit behind the times mate ... brookes and the ducati team split a few weeks ago. Brookes wasn't happy with his progress and the team wanted to split too ( cant remeber why) ... either way it was a mutual split.
Brookes has graduated to the SBK class racing on a .... wait for it ..... kawasaki! haha ... check out mcnews.com ... they had a story up on it
 
You need to tell your bro I need a subscription to his fine mag or I`m gonna be totally out of it when I get home. Think of it as charity to the underprivelieged in Asia.

So set those DVD/Video recorders.

I have acess at school and this stoneage thing here. Neither are good for watching the SBK races. And I`m too lazy to go looking for news

i have windows '98 ... its better than the '97 computer i had up until 3 months ago ... hell im not complaining

Better than Apple. No offense to the yanks but it serves me right for buying .... American quality in a world of Japanese electronics. My Ipod which has been replaced under warranty twice has just broken again, so I`m really pissed at Apple. That quality at that price is ridiculous. Needless to say, I won`t be buying Apple again
