Looks like there may be a bit of truth in the Silverstone round being cancelled, Silverstone admitted talks with Dorna.  Judging by the advertising outside of the track, it does not appear, although there are tickets on sale through their website.

That would be ...., there's no way I can do motogp this year, so no wsbk kills it for me.

I've seen dull MotoGP and Fyawn races in my time, can't recall that many boring WSBK races

Pete, could you not do Donington instead, hopefully that round is safe?

But Bro you got to feel for Pete!

His only chance to go to a meet and it's cancelled.

We just made all the plans over the weekend,

Gotta wish there was an unlike button for that one.

Soz Bro'

pah, donny is where the action is ;)

still hope though that a top level racing series returns to istanbul park, i think its a great track

I too liked Istanbul Park, can't remember why it was dropped from GPs.

I always thought the first weekend in August was a tradition with WSBK being held at Brands Hatch, until we sadly lost Craig Jones.  One reason given for potentially dropping Shiverstone was falling numbers in fans, so now we have two big races at the same track within four weeks, go figure.  Although our current crop of racers are doing well, they don't seem to have the crowd potential that Toseland brought.  Walking into Brands in 2007 I sensed the crowd were charged and I haven't been to a home race with a crowd that big in recent times.  Wasn't there a GP at Donington that only attracted 19,000, that was when Foggy was doing well in WSBK?
