Yo!

I'm sure the answer is yes, but I'm not 100%
<
cause I've never ordered grandstand tickets before.

I'm just booking my tickets for sepang, if you have a grandstand ticket, does this also include general admitance i.e. I'm free to walk around the track etc? Coz on the Saturday I want to walk around and not stay in the grandstand, and Sunday I was to site in the grandstand.

Hope that makes sense!

sorry ben i dont know the answer...

<
but i just wanna have a whinge .... you're going to another GP? ... lucky .........
<

I assume so mate, nothing to stop ppl in Grandstands from buggering off to the Loo or to get beers and stuff.

You pay the premium Just to sit there.

A mate of mine went to F1 last year, and him and his party walked around the circuit looking at stalls and stuff on qualifying day, until the qualifying hour itself, where they chose to sit in their seats knocking back a few beers.

I hear tickets into the circuit are well cheap.

What's wrong with the Mrs, Ben? Doesn't she like racing as much as you do?
<

Yup, the grandstand tix include admittance but you can't walk on the track on race day(Sunday). The pit walkabout is only on Saturday.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Katt @ Jul 28 2006, 06:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>he's a journo / lucky .......

So i assume the lucky dude got to test all the new bikes heh?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Katt @ Jul 28 2006, 07:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>yup, he flew to sepang soley to ride the truimph and attend the triumph launch .... a little while ago they flew him to italy to attend a BMW launch and three day ride ... the airline lost his and all the other journo's luggage including their riding gear, so they only got to attend the launch and ride the bike for 10 minutes when their gear turned up ...
so basically they flew matt to italy for three days to get pissed at a launch and ride a bike around a carpark ...
now why wouldn't i want his job
<

One of the most sought after jobs. He got the chance to travel the world and rode fabulous bikes. He's really lucky (except for the "lost"). I want that kinda job too.

Thats a great shot katt - lucky guy!!!!!!

Is your bro a racer Katt?

haha..........she prefers the whole weekend to watching the racing, i.e. camoing and getting drunk in the sun!!
<
She used to watch the races now and again on TV, but now doesnt really bother.

That said, she's looking forward to Sepang, but only probably 1% compared with me!

Me too!

Tell your bro good on him for rocking the Alpinestars. It's a pretty sweet gig he's got, Katt. I hope I can get myself into the business somehow.

Hmmm.....that's HOT.
<
...........but watching the Motogp race is HOTTER.
<

The last time I went to the pit walkabout, a bit disappointing actually. They allocate a certain time for you to walk on the track. I went for the walkabout in the afternoon after the QP. Not sure if there's one session in the morning. Didn't get to see much, just a couple of those 125CC riders and they close some of the garages (including Rossi's) so didn't manage to see most of the bikes. But I did see the Team Green(Kawa) bikes. They also put a barrier and guards to prevent people from getting near to the garage. So it's like just walking to and fro on the track.
But hey, I don't know about this year. And since the tickets are dirt cheap, what the heck........just go for it!

ur bride to be & my wife must be sisters seperated at birth!
<
the only sport i can really be fanatical about, & the only 1 i want to be fanatical about, & she can live with it! she told me she'd divorce me if i ever become obsessed with any other sports! she does'nt have to worry there!

When I called the MalaysianGP to book my tix, the lady told me that it is for general admittance and you can walk around the area.. So you don't have to worry. Are you getting them to send you your tix? And I don't think they will be selling the beers so openly there cos its a muslim country.

yes, very good job ... and everyone seems to want it ... lol well back off! its mine first

For last year, additional fee of MYR50 for Pit walkabout (Main Grandstand ticket holder only) and it is true that they allocate certain time for pit walk.
Reckon it would be the same this year. To watch MotoGp at Sepang is so so cheap.

So you escape the scorching sun by the covered shelters while poor me suffered sunburns trying to get as close as it can possibly take to the riders and their bikes!
