....... Stoner, leading the board under last years top times on revised layout. Dude is a freak. I have no doubt if he got in shape, would be a contender.
I reckon that tester guy will sleep with a grin on his face tonighton the other hand, 59.6 is very impressive by that tester guy.

That's insane. Considering how little he's ridden, much less on a top end MotoGP bike. Would be great to see him come back for a wildcard or two.
Lorenzo on the other hand, not looking too great at the moment. Of course it's only the first day, but I can't say they won't be disappointed with the current timings.
New Ducati signing Jorge Lorenzo has expressed his surprise at being so far off the pace on the opening pre-season MotoGP test day at Sepang.
The Spaniard ended up 17th fastest on Monday, a full 1.669s off the best time set by Ducati tester Casey Stoner, who topped the timesheets ahead of Lorenzo’s teammate Andrea Dovizioso.
Aspar Ducati rider Alvaro Bautista made it three Ducatis in the top four, with Lorenzo the slowest representative of the Italian marque with the exception of Avintia’s Loris Baz.
The three-time MotoGP champion admitted he still had work to do modifying his riding style to suit the latest version of the Desmosedici, after enjoying a smooth maiden Ducati outing at Valencia last year.
"In Valencia everything was easier, because I rode more or less the way that I've ridden for the past nine years and the times were there," said Lorenzo.
"Here, however, riding the same way it was much harder to go quick, so I'm understanding that it's a bike that requires a pretty different riding style than what I'm used to.
"I set my time with a used tyre and when it was too hot, so I think I could have improved a few tenths. But there's a long way to go, especially under braking.
"I'm used to braking a lot earlier and I'm losing a lot under braking. This bike is basically ridden the opposite way, so until I learn how to extract the best from the bike it will be hard to be among the quickest."
Asked if he was disappointed by his performance, Lorenzo replied: “Not disappointed, but surprised, because I expected I’d be more or less the same as Valencia, not very far. But I was very, very far.
“What gives me confidence is we made a huge improvement during the day, and also to see three or four Ducatis at the top. This demonstrates the bike has the potential to go very quick, at least for one lap.
"Little by little we are getting closer and tomorrow we'll be closer if the weather allows it."
MotoGP 2017: Jorge Lorenzo surprised by lack of test pace
In fact, this is just further supporting evidence of my assertion about those who are alien riders, and those who are not (Vinales, Rossi, Lorenzo, etc.).
To me, the whole JL thing is a bit like, if I started a new job I don't think I'd be running at 100% on my first day...so I'm willing to give him some grace to find out where he's really at with the bike. It's a whole new way of riding that he's going to have to figure out, but what's encouraging to me is that he seems to be talking about changing himself to suit the bike, instead of the other way around (which I think has contributed to a few failings on the Ducati).
Anyways, I guess only time will tell!
lorenzo will be fine, he probably win the first round at qatar also, i think his biggest problem would be consistency especially after they arrive to Europe, and tire management (since he like the softer one usually and his new bike seems to be or use to be very rough on tires.)
the most disappointing thing for me is stoner, even tho i have no affinity toward him, he is still a joy to watch and how he tame that wild bike.
Somehow I get the feeling that Dovi will give him a run for his money at Qatar, looking at his current form!
Let's face it, Lorenzo's up against it from the start. Millions of Rossi's minions are dying for him to fail and so are most of the biased commentators who will stick the boot in at every and any opportunity.
If it was Rossi getting back on the Ducati it would be all fanfare and the excuse books would be open and ready for use.
These two scrubs spent a great deal of effort apologizing for VR's Ducati stint and how it was the "darkest period of Ducati" until Rossi turned that ship around and made Ducati into a success that now Lorenzo is jumping on.Let's face it, Lorenzo's up against it from the start.
