Is it weird that I really want to see Stoner and a few of the others ride the track like that on some kind of flat tracker or motard?

No. I thought almost exactly the same thing.
I thought wouldn't it be ace to do a gravel race then resurface,
There wouldn't be that many tracks of this caliber could say that.
 
Is there a test scheduled after the resurfacing and before the race later in the year? We don't want a PI 2013 all over again.

Nothing that I have heard of. Bib boys should at least put Collie on a local SB shod with spec hoops.
