I just realised ..... what ahppens if Stoner wins Valencia and Lorenzo DNF's?, do they share second or is second worked out some other way?

im so happy Vale has another title

i think stoner is the best wet rider in moto gp by far, i was surprised Dovi didnt beat Dani-i think he was just making sure his fellow Itlaina got on the podium lol

Rossi had me worried after outbreaking himself into the 1st corner.

Roll on Valencia and Ben spies Wild card!

2010 should be good between the top 3, Dani is too inconsistent.
be good to see what the Marco's and spies can do!

Couldn't get my ... out of bed at that hour - knowing that Rossi would inevitably take
the championship. Just watched it on replay and now I'm glad I didn't bother. Boring.
Tho it was great to see Nicky dicing it out like he just didn't care, instead of just
surviving till the end of the race. Gotta say, after all that bad luck, the boy ain't gun-shy.
Oh and as for James - well, what can you say? Rossi got chicken soup and...

I think Rossi did ‘One Up’ more than what he needed to do! The simple and extra safe thing would have been to follow Lorenzo and just come one place behind.

You just do not like Rossi at all.

I don’t think so Barry… In that case I think they go for Podiums, don’t they?

As you put it, it would be 5 wins each, but Lorenzo has right now 11 Podiums to Stoner’s 9 in that case.

wel they will be tied up in points but Stoner gets 2nd place in championship since he will have more 5 wins against Lorenzo's 4,
but i think it will be hard that Lorenzo falls in Valencia hope he ends the season with a win at home

Congratz Rossi another championship, grande Gallina Vecchia

Sorry... I was wrong, you are totaly right! First you have to count the wins (Duh on my part) it would be 5 to 4! Sorry again!

Rubbish, of course i like Rossi. He did exactly what he needed to do in the sense that he clearly didn't push his maximum for glory, chosing to be patient and do just enough to bring the bike home safely on th podium.

it would be worked out by race win's. how long have you followed this sport ?

That's one way to look at it.
Another way to see it:
- Rossi ended up with 16 points more than he needed to clich the championship
- he did the fastest lap in the race

Now I agree that he didn't push his maximum but non the less he did more than "just enough". To set the fastest lap on a wet/damp track against the best riders in the world can never be considered crusing and unless absolutly nesessary not something you do in the process of doing "just enough".
If you want to check out "Just enough" it was done by it's definition in another championship today, but let's not spoil the results here.

Congrats to Rossi. Wat a effin boring race it was today. It was a wet track but everyone was careful. Thats not motorsports thats ..... sports. I wanted to see Donington part 2. As far as I'm concerned the results would have been ALOT different if kangaroo boy didn't get a tummy ache.

Not that exciting but interesting race. Afraid Vermeulen lost his wet abilities, but came through pretty good nonetheless. Pedrosa and Hayden also suprised me with a great result in the wet, sad to see Capirex fall so far back though. Stoner was insane and congrats to Vale for another one.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (rossiofsky @ Oct 25 2009, 09:22 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>and for the next year we have a few new comers that i think Simocelli is worthy, but bautista is not at the grade of Motogp at all. he hasn't achived anything and he is a poor rider under pressure. I think or know he will become the first rider in Motogp that i think negative about him.
He crashes a lot and if it wasn't for his father i'm not sure if he could take any ride in Motogp.
But who knows maybe he can shine in motogp and after a few years he wins a race or get to podiums.

Are you ........?

Stoner gave a lesson today - that was simply an outstanding performance, when was the last time anyone in GP had so much of a margin? Stoner looking ominous for 2010.

Congrats to Rossi - never seen him so tentative before, ever. Thought he had booked a one way ticket to the back of the grid at one point.

Nice to see Hayden mixing it up and fighting back for positions - still a hell of a long way of his team mate, but getting better and better.

Other than that, t'was a dull race unfortunatley.

JT was shockingly poor.

The guys were on the limit after the first tentative laps - cant see how anyone can call it "..... sports" when riding in those conditions..........they have far bigger balls than you or I will ever have.

Physically? NO WAY. I got beanbags.

I wanted a exciting race. Not another PI. Thank god I didn't wake up early for this one.

Rossi's 9th title amazing!!.

Stoner has the most wins in the 800cc era (20 wins)

Awesome racing, especially 250's how close was that!

Well done to Bradley, a future champion I think.

And finally........
