top 3 aren't even within a second of one another

I know it's fp1 but this could be a miserably boring weekend

yeah just wait!!! Stoner may build up through the FP's and QP .....

we all want to see him lap as far up the grid as he can!! LOL

Well I actually do .... sorry thats what gives me kicks with racing.

Times for FP2..

DePunt-it looking good, so too Stoner (well duh!) .. Hopper will be smiling at the Kwakasaki's performance..

Oh and, who said Westy doesn't deserve to be there? Top 5 (consistantly quick too) without pre-season testing at Sepang like everyone else, not to bad in my books..

Special mention to Ginters, ahead of the Suzooks and quickest of the Yammies.. (Qualifier?) Speaking of Yammies, Rossi = guh!?

Peace!

anyone know what race and quali lap record are?

Goto MotoGP.Com and you will find all the answers you need.

It looks like only Pedrosa is able to use the 'Shreddies' (Michelins) properly.....Conspiracy!!!!

Bridgestone domination will be due to the resurfacing of Sepang...as I said in other post...

So:
1st DePuniet
2nd Stoner
3rd: Marco Melandri
4th Pedrosa
5thWest
6th Elias
7th guintoli
10th Hayden
11th Checa
12 Bafrros

14th Edwards

16th Rossi

Stoner looks good (how surprising), DePuniet is fast yet again - i still don't get why hes leaving kawasaki. West put in an excellent effort, if this lasts till sunday afternoon it really will be a step up. Sucks to be Rossi, rules to be Sylvan.

Wow...I'm really shocked. Rossi's performance this season has been his worst in the premier class.

A lot of riders who couldn't touch him are finding themselves ahead of him...

I'm sure Vale will move to Bridgestone.

It's obvious - he wants Michelins
<

He is a crazy frog afterall. And of course Bridgestones must be at fault for him falling off all the time...oh....there he goes...just fell off in qualifying.

This has got to be the slowest practice/qualifying thread ever.

It will help but i don't think its the real solution. Its Yamaha.

Damn... just flicked on the live timing for MotoGP Qualifying & there sits 2 Kwackas at the top of the sheet, followed by Stoner in 3rd.

Ant West at the top with 20min of the session still to run...

Very interesting???

Now 10 mins to go & Westy still on top by 0.4 sec... looking like he might wind up on the front row at the very least, if not on pole!

Just waiting to see the final efforts of the other punters!
<

Quick Edit.... A few minutes later Casey rips out a ball-tearer to pip Westy for pole! What odds 2 aussies on the front row at this point I wonder??

Wow! Further quick edit! Chris Vermeulen now joins Stoner & Westy on the front row with 2 mins to go!

Full time & what a fantastic finale! lots of quick laps at the final call... Dani P pulls one out on those terrible Michelins to go to the top, followed by Casey, Marco, Randy DeP, Westy & Haydos... Vermy bumped back to 7th but a much better showing this time round!

Vale improved but not by enough I don't think...

Hmmm, hopefully the race will be just as eventful

Congrats to Dani. Nice pole.

Westy was mind blowing. Really great riding from him. Disappointed RDP got him at the end but still and impressive showing.

What happened to Hayden? He was on a 2:02 flat and then somehow he lost it all in the final sector. Still not bad in 6th.

I hope Hopper is licking his chops. I know I can't wait to see what he and Westy can do at mean green.
