Hi, i'm booking for Sachsenring, july 13th and wondered if any one could give any worthwhile advice as to the best place to sit and other must do/see whilst there.

Cheers

Never been but I would have to sit with a view of the fast down hill left hander. I think it's turn 6 or 7. The one where the come over the hill then dive back down and spin the rear at the apex trying to get good drive.

Watching it on TV is epic. Seeing it in person must be out of this world.

It that one, right above the arrows.

I just looked on the net. You need to be in sections T7, T8, or T9 to watch the splendor.

is that where hopper highsided a couple seasons ago?

i would love to sit here if its possible..... red dot!

I've been there a couple of years a go. the race was great, and the spot we had was ok too, but everything around the race (like the village hohenstein-ernstall) was a bit of a let down. maybe I was to young

there is like a HUGE mountain which you can't miss, where everybody stays on with their tents etc. we had a normal camping, luckely, where we met some cool german people. try the beergarden things in the village, it's good too. if you want to see the riders, go to the four schwanen hotel there, I saw a bunch of the riders there.

other than that, nothing really happens in the village. there is a podium where some german bands play on, big long wooden tables on the same square where you can drink your beers etc. I kinda felt like I went back in time

o and parking near the track sucks, since the track is IN the village, be prepaired to walk a fairly long distance

can't really give you good advice other than my story. if you do want good advice, you can contact this girl: http://www.powerslide.net/forum/index.php?showuser=492 she is german and I know she has been to the sachsenring quite a lot of times. if you don't get a reaction from here, try the Nicky Hayden forum, she's a regular member there
