<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>With Hopkins' Monster sponsorship covering his salary, the American could effectively ride for Stiggy Motorsports for free.
Rolfo claims he still has a ride. I wouldn't be surprised if Hopper takes the ride, it's win win for all parties. Stiggy gets to offload a worthless rider and sign a MotoGP 'star,' while Hopkins gets to ride for a UK based team that appears to be rather competitive. Haslam appeared to be rather quick in recent testing. It's not ideal, but a better situation won't present itself for old Hopper.

Roby has been a major disappointment since the move from 250, shame because he showed great promise when he rode for Aprilia. He's a top bloke as well. He once hired a CBR600 and rode the island just to pay homage, and also ran a few Grand Prix's in a Joey lid as I recall. I'd be sorry to see him go, but then he speaks five languages fluently so should get a job in broadcasting or in the Dorna press office.
